Thread: How to change from bittorrent to utorrent and keep all settings

Ok, I joined a site that did not allow bit torrent but allowed utorrent. Basically the funder mental code behind each client is the same.(both the most current versions)
So I tested this on my old PC which is seeding 5 torrents.
install utorrent(latest version)
exit each client
Went to my app data and copied my bittorrent app data into the utorrent app data folder.
I then changed the bittorrent.lng file to utorrent.lng and it all worked.
I had to force a re-check on 3 files, but other than that it kept all my settings. even stuff like labels and dates completed, stats on total uploaded ect ect.
the only possible issue is that some rechecks will download about 1MB more data and some will get stuck on 99.9% but out of 200 torrents this happend to like 5. Some of them downloaded the rest (like the ones with 4MB).
after leaving them for 30 mins they are now all complete, downloaded the last 1Mb or so.
