Sorting Nick Re-Login problems due to ping out.
If you ping out , then you are re-logged in with your alternative nick resulting in staff kicking you out of chan, You might be busy somewhere else and wouldnt know and then you have to manually feed in to kill your ghost nick
. mIRC users have auto-login scripts so if they ever ping out, they will re-login with same nick instead of alternative nick.
X-chat has the "Connect Command" option, its similar to "Perform" option in mIRC.
So, for x-chat , follow this procedure to avoid your nick re-login problems:
1. open a new txt file.
2. Enter these cmds :
timer 5 ghost your_nick your_irc_pass
timer 13 nick your_nick
timer 15 msg nickserv identify your_nick
timer 19 join #torrent-invites channel_pass
3. Replace your_nick , your irc pass, chan pass appropriately
4. Now save this txt file in any location of your choice, name the file as ti.txt
5. Now, go open xchat > Networks > select TI chan > click on Edit > On the connect command in bottom, type this
eg: LOAD -e C:\IRCcmds\ti.txtCode:LOAD -e C:\your TI.txt file location
Now, delete any nick serv passes or chan passes you have saved earlier and click on Close.
Now click on connect
Now, have a look on what your timer cmds do in the channel. As you see, first they kill your ghost nick, then your nick is changed to your TI nick, you are identified to chan and connected to TI channel. The timer cmds ensure, that the channel has responded to your action.
You can test this by restarting your internet connection and see magic happen on xchat2 ;)
