Thread: Properly burn Xbox 360 Games.

SIMPLE STEPS!

0) Download ABGX @ http://www.abgx.net/ and run the directory your ISO is saved. This will check your ISO for any errors and auto fix them so your game runs smoothly, and will stealth the game to where you can play on live. MAYBE. So don't take my word for it. See very bottom for ABGX use.

1) Download ImgBurn @ http://www.imgburn.com/

2) Extract your Xbox 360 Iso into it's own folde somewhere (for instance, desktop)

3) In that folder create a notepad document and title it 'gamename'.dvd where gamename is replaced with the actual ISO's name.

4) Open your notepad document and enter these 2 lines of code exactly:
'gamename'.iso
Layerbreak = 1913760

5) Again, gamename is replaced with word for word what your ISO is called.

6) Put your Dual Layer DVD+R (NOT -R!!!!) into your burn drive (USE VERBATIM DUAL LAYER DVDS!!!!!!!)

7) Open ImgBurn and load your .dvd notepad file into it and burn! DO NOT BURN FASTER THAN 4X!!!!!!!!! I burn at 2x, this ensures no corrupt data.

Explainations for why this is done this way:

Verbatim is the company Microsoft gets their Dual Layer DVD's from. Naturally, you will get the best performance from these disks.

The notepad document. Do this because games video data needs to be written on BOTH layers not fill one layer up then move onto the next. This just needs to be done, too technical to go into detail just know this HAS to be done.



*How to use ABGX*

Extract your game completely until you have your ISO. Open ABGX and from the GUI browse for your ISO. Launch the program by hitting, Launch(for you dummies) and let it do it's thing. It doesn't get anymore simple than that. Dummies.

Make sure ABGX is set to level 3.

ABGX will create a .dvd file for you if it doesn't already exist

i don't think i would be able to find any more detailed guide than this one.........thanks for the effort...i will try it.....but without going online

And we need a modded Xbox to run the games, correct?
