How to make vuze faster
1. When you load up vuze go to TOOLS>OPTIONS
2. Click on advanced mode in the mode section
3. Make the incoming TCP listen port and UDP listen port around 52500
4. Then click on transfer and change everything to 0 except the max upload slots for torrents (make this around 4)
5. Then click apply and Voila! Torrents will download a lot faster.
Removing the speed caps is only going to make things faster if the speed was intentionally limited in the first place...

Also, when you change a port your system doesn't get faster... it just changes ports. If your network is firewalled and for some reason it allows UDP connections to high port numbers while disallowing lower port numbers then it is a matter of network configuration and while it may have made a difference for you (probably because your host is now reachable) it probably won't do any difference for anyone else
