Default How to rip a DVD

You are about to learn how to rip DVDs with 2 simple tools : DVD Decryptor and AutoGK, and maybe a third AnyDVD. It is to allow you to rip RCE protected DVDs. Just to be safe get a copy from your fav. torrent tracker.

First, download DVD Decryptor from Here and AutoGK here. As for AnyDVD just get it from your tracker. Install all 3 programs.

Here are the DVD Decryptor settings you would need. Go to Tools > Options. The only thing needed to be changed is under the IFO Mode tab. Under the options of that tab, there is a option called File Splitting. Changed that setting to "None". Exit the options now. Furthermore, when ripping under Mode, select IFO. Next click that folder icon to select where to rip the VOB file to.

Now to rip the video. Under the input section, select the section that is the longest(most probably the show). Finally click the "Disc >> HD" icon. Now just wait the time it takes depends on how fast your computer and CD drive is.

Open up AutoGK after the DVD is rip. Select the IFO file you ripped and select a location to compress it to. Now select the language you want of the audio, and the subtitles if you want any. Under select output size, pick 1 CD "700mb". Now select advance settings and select XviD for the codec and VBR MP3 for the audio.

Finally, click the "Add Job" button and "Start". Now just wait, go get a drink. This part usually is very long. After it has completed, enjoy your hand-ripped movie!

There you go, you have ripped your own DVD.

Great info. I personally use Handbrake...works great on Windows and Mac OSX. Both processes work. I like Handbrake because it's a quick and easy process.
