I've tried streaming videos from my seedbox before and couldn't get it to work.
At least not with avi's or mkv's.
    Any clue?
you would have to tell me more details

rHA2Or8z, thats about all there is to it.
I want to stream a video from my seedbox server through https.
Gives me an MRL missing error.
I think it's cause of login issues.
I looked it up and havent gotten much info.

Find that and i'll definitely give thanks

Wow VLC can certainly do alot. It's a shame they pack all these extra feature in yet can't improve the picture quality... otherwise I would probably reinstall it. For now it MPC+ a couple of codecs and KM player.

Heres a comparison of what I'm talking about.

Can point to other comparisons as well. So stick with VLC if you don't mind better detail.

    Good tutorial though.

You're right staffrodore. I use MPC-HC for a lot of things especially mkv and HD files.
I just like the end picture better which can be attributed to the more customizable codec and filter department.
VLC is excellent at playing just about anything thrown at it and its got amazing streaming solutions.
    That's why i like both :)

Whoa didn't know ripping capabilities. Had a few problems with latest version, which was solved by downgrading.

Good place to grab newest and all prior versions for this kind of freeware (look to right side of landing page): http://filehippo.com/download_vlc/
