This tutorial is primarily for if you have a dedicated box somewhere and are using it as a seedbox.

Now you should already have those IPs assigned to your NIC, if you don't, refer to your OS manual for instructions on how to assign them.

First off, if you are using a linux distro with wine. Make sure you use uTorrent 1.8.3. For some odd reason 1.8.4 hates wine.

1) Setup your uTorrent the way you like it. Create a new folder and name it something like uTorrent2 or whatever.

2) Copy uTorrent.exe into that folder.

3) Copy the .dat files from %appdata%\uTorrent folder into the new folder. (if you are using wine just navigate over to the wine file program and hit up windows/users/<user>/appdata)

4) Create a shortcut for the new uTorrent.exe in this folder (if you are using wine copy the .desktop link that is on the desktop already and go to properties and modify the path)

5) Edit the shortcut's target by adding /RECOVER to the end of the Target, outside of any quotation marks, and separated with a space. (wine users do the same, outside of the "")

6) Open this shortcut. Your settings should be retained, now go to options->preferences and then go to advanced. In there you will find net.bind_ip and net.outgoing_ip. Change the values in there to the IP of the your choice (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx). Hit apply and ok.

7) Make sure you change the port that you are connecting out on.

That should do it, if you have any issues feel free to contact me.
