Default Setting up home uTorrent on WebUI (Access anywhere)

*ORIGINALLY POSTED BY ME ON ****************!*

First of all, this is my thread to help all you users like me, who usually torrent at home but are always away from home with a laptop but still want to download torrents. With this set up, you can add and remove torrents whenever you want to. So hope you enjoy my first ever tutorial :)

    This works for:
    uTorrent 1.8.2

not sure about other version but would appreciate input to add to this lsit.

To start things off, I assume you people reading this have uTorrent? lol.
So on your uTorrent go to Options, Preferences.

After you do that, click on the WebUI section at the side and you should change your settings to fit this picture. Obviously, you have to enable WebUI and connectivity. The guest account is optional. Now set your username and password, hopefully something you will remember since you will need everytime you want to check or add something to your uTorrent. Change the port for connectivity to the one you use for your uTorrent. After you set everything, click ok.

Now to find out your IP Address to log into the site, go to hxxp://www.whatismyip.com/ and you should see your ip. THat is what you will need to log in.

Next, go to the browser you usually use, doesn't matter which one. Now type in the URL bar, OpenDNS and if it asks you to log in, click ok and you should be able to see your torrents! hope you guys find this as useful as I do.

It's a very nice feature, but it just doesn't report all of the same information the GUI does. I'll still remote desktop until they add that information. :S
