    Default How to: Re-seed ur Torents!

    First off all credit to yui (bitmetv) Couldn't contact u but if u mind my post here please let me know m8! :)

    For Utorrent

    ================================================== =====
    This is a guide for those who are lost!

    Basic concept :

    1. Set the download location of the file to the file you have on your computer.
    2. Set the file priority to "do not download" (this is a precaution i like to take).
    3. Hash-check through the file(s).
    4. You are ready to seed!

    * You might want to make a backup copy of the files as a precaution.
    It is possible to lose files (ie season packs) if you aren't careful : )

    ================================================== =====

    In uTorrent :

    0. Open the .torrent file in uTorrent. You should get a dialog box as shown in the screenshot below. If not, follow this :

    Quote:
    Getting the "Add new torrent" dialog box to show up :

    1. If uTorrent has been configured to start torrents automatically without showing the add torrent dialog box, either unconfigure it (see #3)
    or add the torrent through File -> "Add Torrent (no default save)" menu option.
    2. To turn on the Add New Torrent dialog box, go to Preferences -> Downloads -> make sure "Always show dialog box on manual add" is checked
    3. To display the list of files in the "Add New Torrents" dialog box, Go to Preferences -> Downloads -> and check "Show a window that displays the files inside the torrent".

    1. Click on the "..." button, set the download location to the file on your computer.
    2. Make sure "Skip hash check" is unchecked.
    3. Uncheck the files in the bottom box. This tells uTorrent not to download the file.
    4. Click Ok.

    5. The progress of the hash-check process will be displayed in the 'Status' column.
    6. Additional file information can be viewed by clicking on the "Files" tab.
    7. The percentage of the file which you have is displayed in the 'Done' and '%' column.

    Now it's all done! :001_smile:
    Cheers
