Default How to: Split ISOs and any other file type

Ok, I was having a problem a while back having a FAT32 file system External Hard drive which I used to back up my files. I couldn't move anything over 4GB to the hard drive, this meant I had to split it.

I was also too lazy (or just stupid) that I never got around to converting the drive to NTFS.

Anyway, this technique also will come in handy to you uploaders out there who want to split their files up to allow your fellow peers to seed easier.

First thing's first, you'll want to head over to www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/ HJSplit.

Now open it up and you'll see a few options (as above).

Select "Split" and you'll be directed to a new page.
Here you can choose your input file and the split size file. Simply click on start and it will do all the hard work for you.

The files will be outputted as
    ***.iso.001
    ***.iso.002
    ***.iso.003
    etc...

These can be extracted using 7-zip and will patch the file back together.

Thanks for taking a look :001_smile:

Please note, the images are not of my creation and are used simply to illustrate what is going on.

Lol, there's always that too. I just find this simpler to use.

Yeah that's what I was talking about at the start. But obviously splitting can be used for other reasons, lol.
