Yes, that's what it's all about. It searches on other trackers for the exact same files as the one specified in your torrent, and if possible you can add another tracker this way, where there are still seeders for that torrent...

That's the good thing with "the scene": there are standards and therefore usually 1 version of a movie which is available on many trackers.

It's good information, I didn't know about this. I always searched manually for the same files and then checked my partially downloaded files when adding the new torrent. But the method specified in this thread can be very useful!

edit: just tested it with 3 different, recent scene torrents (a game and 2 movies) and it always found only 1 tracker-url (the one specified in my torrents). So I think I would always first search for the same torrents (with the same files, you can compare names and sizes) on isohunt before trying this option.
