    Default Quick and Easy Screenshots

Hey guys, just wanted to show you an awesome quick and easy screenshot tool. It's called Gyazo and you can get it here:

Welcome to Gyazo : Seriously Instant Screen-Grabbing

Just run it and you'll be presented with a cursor where you can click and drag the area you want to take a screenshot of. Once you let go the screenshot will be instantly uploaded to Gyazo and you'll be presented with the images URL which you can use for forums and wherever else you need. It's that instant and awesome. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Your images are saved for ever, but without the Pro version of Gyazo you won't be able to access your old images if you don't know the URL.

    Here's one of the screenshots:

I don't think anyone would want unedited ratio proofs automatically uploaded and saved somewhere forever.

If you need something quick in a Private Message it's nice, but of course, it's not just for proofs. This works amazing for tutorials, which is what I love it for.

I’ve never really understood the point of those apps. I mean I know its probably faster, but is it really that hard to press print scrn, open up paint, ctrl + V then crop what you want?
Then upload to a preferred image host of your own, not being forced to use a certain one.

meh, I'm always sceptical about small apps like these. Maybe I should try them out first before commenting but I'm too lazy lol.

Never-the-less, thanks for the tip. I'm sure some people will be very happy with it!

Yeah, for the things I have to edit, that's exactly what I have to do, but when your making a tutorial which has steps and requires images it's really nice because of how quick it is. Or if I'm designing something in Adobe and want to give a preview to some one, quick snap and there.

Plus making a hotkey for it probably makes it a lot faster on my end.

Well, the Windows 7 built in snipping tool is about the same, without the obnoxious auto-upload to an obscure image host...
Plus, it's pretty fast to use. I mean, WinKey, "Snip", Enter, Drag over selection, Ctrl + S (save). Then, you can edit it if necessary, or just upload it wherever you want.
And considering we only have 3 approved image hosts (one of which is T-I's), you'll have to upload the image separately anyways...

Sorry, I'm not trying to hate on your guide, as it's nice and descriptive and explains everything well without me having to follow the link. I just find it annoying that there have been so many new sites/apps/extensions that allegedly make things "so much faster and easier" when they aren't much more useful that what utilities are already provided.

Skitch is good for Mac... Snip & edit very quickly.

Or just Shift+Cmd+3 or Shift+Cmd+4 in OSX.
