    Default Forum rules condensed

Ok so i created this for all the new members of T-I and old members that may be a little rusty on the rules. This is just very basic stuff here. Please check the official rules for more depth.
That said, please read through carefully.

    iGiver, rep and thanks:
iGiver MUST and is ONLY given for invites, bonuses and seedboxes (over a certain amount, HERE)
    How to give iGiver
HERE. Where your invites should be, HERE.
Rep is well... rep! you MUST fill a comment (doesn't have to be long) about why you are giving that user rep. Rep is the white scales next to the report sign (HERE).
Thanks is limited to 5 a day. If you run out don't panic, you can always rep someone if you find a helpful post or thread. Members are not able to use the "Thanks" button until they are at 33%. (HERE).
To give Rep and Thanks you must first be at 33% or higher. 50 posts + 5 reputation + 7 days.
    More in-depth HERE and HERE.

    Note:

-DO NOT request rep or thanks in return for invites or bonuses. Only iGiver. Members know that they have the ability to rep and thanks, its up to them to distribute it accordingly (Please read this tho HERE).
Don't be stingy with your rep and thanks, but also don't go over the top otherwise you could be warned.

-Due to a bug in the system. If you are going to give a member rep and thanks, give them the rep first then thanks. You will not be able to do it the other way around.

    Searching:
Use the search bar before starting a new thread. Staff and members get very annoyed when threads that are similar are posted. They may ban you if it persists.

    Sections:
Sections are there for a reason. Please post computer threads in the computer section, gaming threads in the gaming section etc.

    Bumping:
Bumping rules are different for different sections of the forum. Please read the respective rules for that section before posting.

    Spamming:
Again different sections have different rules on what counts a spam. Please read the respective rules for that section before posting. Mainly if the post doesn't help the thread, don't post it!

    Donating:
Donating to T-I keeps it alive. You can donate anything from $5-$30 as many times as you like (HERE). I've tried running my own forum in the past so i know how much servers, software etc cost. Please help support and keep this great website alive by donating. If you donate $30 you will become a VIP. VIP's are able to increase there avatars size, have more room in their signature, access to the VIP room, allowed to open 2 requests simultaneously, have a gold username with gold star next to it + many more features.

    Additional Information:
-Abbreviation for some trackers are used (HERE). Some trackers wish for T-I to only use abbreviations in threads, and we respect their wishes. If you need help with abbreviations that are not in the link above, use the help section. General torrent world abbreviations can be found HERE.

-You must be at 55% or higher in order to post in the intros section. If you are a n00b to the intro section, READ the rules first. If you do not and post you will no doubt receive a ban like many already have. Follow these steps below to lower the risk of a ban

    • First user to post in an intro must quote the original post.
    • Only post if you see something wrong with the intro.
    • Do not positive/negative rep a midget (new term for intro poster) without first posting that you are going to do so.
    • Don't give the midget the answers. For example, if a midget got the secret password incorrect. Simply post the link to the rules containing the secret password and say something like "Read carefully".
    • If you believe a midget is a possible dupe account holder, scammer etc. Either post saying something like "I'll wait for other members to look over your intro", use the report button or pm a mod with the URL link. Be aware, if you rep in an obvious scammer, cheater, dupe account holder etc or do not make them edit their intros to T-I's standards, you will receive an infraction or a possible ban.

Read Here for existing member rules, and Here for new member rules.

-There is an arcade built into this forum for you enjoyment. Located in at the top of every page. You can choose to create or enter tournaments, beat other players high scores or just play to pass the time.

-Do not post in old threads. If an old thread has become relevant again then by all means, but only post a comment that contributes to the thread. If you post a useless comment in a thread you may receive an infraction or a ban.

-Please keep swearing to a minimum. Respect staff (They have the power to ban you) as well as respecting other members. We are like a big family so treat us a such.

-If you are taking ratio proofs and don't want your toolbar or taskbar showing, Hit "F11". To learn how to properly edit your proofs read HERE.

-NO trading whatsoever allowed on this site. Trade and you will be banned!

-If you don't understand something, then ask!

If i have missed anything that you feel should be up here, please post below.

    Thanks for reading
    And enjoy your stay here

    Sam

p.s. I didn't need to make this. I don't need this at all. And i have spent a long time writing and searching through sections to find the links. But i did for you guys. So please take on board what i've said here, otherwise you may find yourself facing an infraction or possible ban.

Good to have things compiled. However, the thanks part is a little incorrect imo. You are not allowed to hint being repped by saying "thanks would be appreciated" in your post, see here: http://www.torrent-invites.com/annou...tml#post341370

Thank you medschool. You won't believe how long this took to make. There were 2 maybe 3 links that took me ages to find. Even the search bar failed to find them because the threads were named differently to what i thought rofl.
Thank you everyone for your support, as i've said i don't need this. But i've created it for new members, and old members that may be a little rusty. I've seen so many new members banned within the first couple days. So follow these guidelines and you should be alright :)

    All the best
    Sam

    Hi,
Does anyone know why I never see the scales for rep?

The only posts I see the scales on are my own - do I need to be at a certain level first or something?

I have added a bit on the intro section. I have also change some of the colours and moved bits around to make a little easier to read.
