Thread: Using the T-I Imagehost

The Torrent-Invites image dump is a great tool to easily upload pictures both for here (like ratio proofs) or even just to share a picture with someone over IRC by sending them the direct link! But I can imagine some newer members might not know how easy it is to use, so here's a guide to make it even easier, just follow the directions!

Step 1
Click the "Image Dump" button on the navigation bar of the site, circled in purple below:



Step 2
Click the browse button on the right side about halfway down the page that opens up:

Navigate to the file you would like to upload (note the image dump only accepts .gif .jpg .jpeg .png and .bmp files), highlight it by clicking it once, and then click open in the dialog box

Be sure to check the Agreement to the Terms of Service, you can click and read through if you want but it's not necessary:


Step 5 (optional)
If you would like to upload more than one image press the + button located next to the upload button, this will give you more boxes to browse and add more files:


Step 6
Once you have selected all the images you want to upload, click the upload button and wait, it will take a minute or so depending on your connection and how big the file(s) are being uploaded.




Step 7
once your browser takes you to this page you can copy the link you want for each picture, they will be listed in the order uploaded. The best way to place your pictures on TI is to either copy the "Code to post the photo in a forum" box, or copy the "Link directly to your photo" box and place [IMG][/IMG] tags around that url, we'll cover that second one in the next step.


Step 8
Click anywhere in the box for "Link Directly to your photo" and it will automatically highlight the entire url for your image, the you can right-click and choose copy (or just use ctrl + C) to copy the url to your clipboard.


Step 9
Now, whether you're making a new topic or replying to an old one, first type [img], then paste your link directly after the ] bracket. Finally close that image tag out with the [/img] tag.


Step 10 (optional)
If this is a picture that you want to keep the url for any reason, T-I image dump has you covered! just scroll down to the bottom of the uploaded pictures page and type your email address in the box, and click "Send me my links", you will recieve an email containing the links to your photo in case you ever need them again:
