    Default Problem:No Connection To rTorrent

    Hello,i have installed rutorrent through autodl-setup many times but now i have a problem,i have a debian seedbox and i want to make it work,i get an error that says
    Code:
    No connection to rTorrent. Check if it is really running. Check  $scgi_port and $scgi_host settings in config.php and scgi_port in  rTorrent configuration file.





    can anyone help me please?that problem appeared yesterday,rutorrent was working great but i dont know what happened...and i got this problem,i reinstalled it many times but nothing happened.Thanks in advance!!

    Who is your seedbox provider? Are you running a dedi or a shared seedbox? I suggest you contact their support if it's a shared (and if it's a dedi w/ support), it's probably just a temporary hiccup. That error happens to me sometimes, and that's the best way to fix it.

    Hello peeta,i don't have any seedbox provider,i installed it by myself,i found a (free) vps that provides debian and cent os,i installed debian and i installed rutorrent,the first time worked fine (for about 2 days) and after that i dont know what happened,i was gettin' this error,i reinstalled os and rutorrent but nothing changed

    If you have SSH access to the box you should run htop and see what processes are running. It may be that rtorrent has stopped for some reason. If that's the case, you can simply type...

    screen -fa -d -m -S rtorrent rtorrent
    ... to get it running again.

    root@your server ip:~# ps -ef |grep rtorrent |grep -v grep
    xxxx xxx x x xxxx ? 00:00:00 SCREEN -dm -S rtorrent


    # if rtorrent crashed and left a socket file under /tmp, remove it
    root@your server ip:~# cd /tmp
    root@your server ip:/tmp# rm rpc.socket


    # Start rtorrent via root
    root@your server ip:/tmp# service rtorrent start
    Starting rtorrent: rtorrent.


    # Check if rtorrent is running now
    root@your server ip:/tmp# ps -ef |grep rtorrent |grep -v grep
    xxxx xxx xxx x xxxxx ? 00:00:00 SCREEN -dm -S rtorrent
    xxxx xxx xxx x xxxxx 00:00:03 rtorren

    #To restart ruTorrent, run below commands in root
    /tmp/rpc.socket
    /etc/init.d/rtorrent restart
    /etc/init.d/lighttpd restart

    i logged in via ssh and i wrote the command that you sent me green seeder but nothing changed :(

    i reinstalled os and rutorrent many times but it cant be fixed... :'(

    make sure your .rtorrent.rc file in your home directory has the following line

    Code:
    network.scgi.open_port = 127.0.0.1:5000
    Make sure your rutorrent config file which will be located in your rutorrent/conf directory has the following lines

    Code:
            $scgi_port = 5000;
            $scgi_host = "127.0.0.1";

    i did edited these files and didnt happend anything :(
    autodl-irssi script was working fine since now :\
