Default Cheap Seedbox Decision

I have been looking for a cheap seedbox and I finally settled on something. I was going to sign up with Dave's TI seedbox but it is no longer being offered.

So after extensive research (or at least as much as I could fit into today...) I have selected TorrentSwift. The Basic plan is $10USD and gives you
  • 10GB HDD
  • 150GB bandwidth limit
  • no up/down speed caps
  • unlimited torrents
Quote:
Ten percent off all torrentflux packages: torrentinvites

Five dollar recurring discount for unmetered packages: UNMETERED5OFF

The coupon only works with this link : TorrentSwift Seedbox Hosting
I almost went with br-hosting but decided to start a little smaller to see how I like the whole seedbox thing. Their smallest plan is $15USD and gives you
  • 10GB HDD
  • 600GB bandwidth limit
  • no up/down speed cap
  • 2 active torrents
There are alot of options to chose from if you are willing to spend $30+ but they dry up pretty quickly in my price range.

Here is hoping it works out!!

Well my FTP access is not working yet so my cross seeding plans are on hold. However, I grabbed and am now seeding a somewhat popular new torrent and my BitMETV buffer is on the rise!! It has been a couple hours and my torrent ratio is 1.5. I have been avergaing upload of ~100kBps and peaking at 400kBps (beats my 40kBps max on my ISP!!).

The plan is to jump on Entourage (Sun), Heroes (Mon) and House (Tue) and see if I can use up my 150GB bandwidth cap with seeding by the end of the week!! If only ScT and BitMeTV used the same torrent file structure so I could cross seed (BitMeTV seems to use single AVIs and ScT is RARed...). Wish me (and my ratio buffers) luck!!

400kbps is when the advertised speed is 10mb down/up.

But yes I had the exact same choice as you it was either TorrentSwift or BR, but I went with BR.

I am not too worried with the up speed so far given the small size of the swarm I am seeding into. The real test will be the those TV swarms over the next few nights.

Can you please post your experience with BR? I would be very interested to hear it!!

i went with neither, i went with seedhost.eu, for a shared 3 seedbox, okay it was 18 euroes (£14) ($26) i think. But i got 60gb hdd space, 4 active torrents, 100mb up/down. but unlimited bandwidth. I used this to up my ratio on TD to 4 and on HDbits.ro to 174 :P. Very good seedboxes, it is a reseller of OVH.co.uk who offer very good dedi servers which are used for seedboxes.

I was wondering if there is anything available with utorrent web ui. I don't think I can run TorrentFlux on Windows just yet.
