    Default Moving SeedBox Questions....

Presently moving seedbox and getting some issues, was wondering if anyone had ideas...

Moving 3TD of data, all from 5 private trackers, there is a lot of cross seeding, with 2,800 files in total.

The data is held on the old seedbox in in a folder XXXX/files

When I transfer to the new seedbox the main folder is called XXXX/data, there is a 'file' folder too I can put the data in

However when I transfer the session files across they are looking for torrents in the 'file' folder. When i go this route I get most rehashing but there are about 600 errors.

anyone got a fool proof way of moving seedboxes and keeping everything error free, will rsync work fine?

Thanks, not technical but also not stupid......

Can you provide some screenshots hiding all sensitive data like torrent name and paths.. I would like to see if i can replicate problem step by step my self..
Maybe you can provide commands that you use, and do you use them as super user ("root")?

All I have done is use FXP Rush to move the physical data and they also used it to move the contents of the session folder across, then rebooted RuTorrent. Of the 2800+ torrents 600+ are showing 'Download registered as completed, but hash check returned unfinished chunks' but if I right click and download the original torrent file and add manually it rehashes. If I do this I lose the stats and also I have to do this 600+ times.

Someone more knowledgeable than me suggested using bencode to look at the session files and yes I can see the file directory is 'file' not 'data' but how do you change 2800 and why are some working and not others?

My first guess is with bash script. Open file and search for string "xxx/file" and replace with "xxx/data".

My second guess.. I didnt check if it works, but in theory it must :D
    - before you do this, make sure to make backup for session files.

    1. go to seedbox and select all torrents with "ctrl + a"
    2. select left mouse button to get context menu and select option "Save to..."
    3. then in dialog try to set correct path and uncheck first two options
    - (unchecked) "Don't add torrent's name to path" - I guess that means to make folder.. No need for it..
    - (unchecked) "Move data files" - I understand you have done this your self..
    - (checked) "Fast resume" - Don't realy know what this is! :D:D:D
    4. if you have any problems after this then try to press "ctrl + a" (select all) and "rehash all"

Sorry, yes I did. Painful but good learning process. The main issue was the the torrents files moved session folder have embedded in the the file location in the old seedbox so that won't match to the new one. Used the'save file to' and that helped. I also do a lot of cross seeding so some of them I had to manually find the file but got there in the end. Not easy and takes some patience, especially watching 4TB of files checking....
