    Name: Whatbox
    Speed: 300 Gbit's/300 Gbit's
    Support: 10/10
    GUI: ruTorrent
    Speed of GUI: 10/10
    Package: Heat NL (200GB / 5TB)
    Price: $26
    Overall rating: 10/10

Amending my original review. Was unhappy with the box and it's ruTorrent speeds. Original review was 6/10. I figured what they hell we should give this another shot and lets see how Deluge does on this box. Oh....my.....god, what a huge difference.

Instantly my swarms became ungodly aggressive. Some of the best speeds I've ever seen.
    See for yourself...

I have no doubts now, these are heavenly speeds. Price to value ratio is excellent, and if they were unmetered it would be bar none the best seed box in the world.

Demonblade, would it be possible to use both Deluge and ruTorrent at the same time on this seedbox?

You can buy 2 seedboxes with one running ruTorrent and one running Deluge, but no it's not possible to have both at the same time.

I'm currently using ruTorrent with whatbox.ca and have been thinking about making the switch to Deluge as I've been hearing a lot of people raving about the available upload speeds.

I'm curious whether changing the seedbox client will mess up the torrent's I'm currently seeding. Will I loose everything and have to re-download all my torrents manually? If things do transfer, will the stats (i.e. torrent ratio) move across also?

Thanks in advance for any answers provided.

from what I understand you will have to download them again but dont let the download start. just force a recheck of the torrent

I would recommend putting in a ticket with Customer support before you make the change, they may be able to move the .torrent files over for you. they have always been super helpful with anything I have needed.

What happens is that the files won't be deleted. But you won't be able to access them in Deluge. You have to go back into your FTP access and delete them. You might be able to put the .torrent file into deluge and then force-recheck it back. Haven't tried that, but if you want to be safe, clear the box before you switch over. As once you install Deluge everything will be there, just only accessible through FTP.

There's that much of a different between the clients? I love Whatbox (doing Flex4), but if I can get better speeds, I am all for it. Also, I second contacting them to see if they can help you with your materials. They have excellent customer service, and if it is possible, I am sure that they will do it.

Deluge = Speed and Ratio Building
ruTorrent = Uploading and Long Term Storage

There is a huge difference between the speeds, Deluge is much much more aggressive in swarms.

So i bought my first seedbox at Whatbox yesterday, and im really impressed.
You can change from rutorrent to deluge or the other way around very easy, just one click and it takes 5 seconds.
Anyway, maybe the most important... The speed... well i have only got this box for 1 day and so far ive seen good values.
    Check this for exemple:

Why i gave the overall rating 9/10 and not 10/10 was because Deluge dont have any autodl, rss or autodl-irssi.
But with a really easy understanding-guide on whatbox wiki you could setup autodl-irssi easy.

    Name: Whatbox.ca
    Package: Heat Plan
    Speed: 300mbps
    Size: 100gb
Price: $21; $18 for the plan + $3 to "boost" the upload cap by 2.5 tb
    Speed of GUI; 8/10
    Box performance; 9/10
    Support; 10/10

What can i say, i left whatbox, tried other places and then came back to try out their heat plan. their heat plan is DEF top notch. I've put this box through more than i ever have with other boxes. My uploads have maxed out my Up connection PLENTY of times at a full 35 MB/S....I've seen my download hit up to 70+MB/s. the only reason i didn't give it a perfect score is because whenever i would UP a torrent, the webgui would take foerver to load/or just be non responsive until the torrent finished checking/loading. It never did that on the flex plan even for smaller 4gb files. but after that, this baby soared like never before.

The only BIG downside is that the heat plans lack a LOT of disk space. seriously, 100gb's gets filled up quick. They recently added more hdd space to their flex plans but according to support, no upgrades are currently planned for the HEAT pacakges.
Most people dont like the ratio caps but i don't mind. then again, i "boosted" the cap for $3 more by 2.5TB. and so far i've only used 3.4TB.

all in all, sans the hdd space, Whatbox def can deliver on what they promise with great i/o power.
