This was my second seedbox I have used, First one was pretty good at first, but then came a slue of problems (twftw.biz). The setup after payment was swift and problem free. The speed is excellent, The GUI is clean and lag free. The website is also nice very clean looking and has a nice manage page that tells when it expires, your monthly data usage, peak speeds and such. Overall, I would highly recommend anyone to buy from whatbox. It has been an amazing experience and I don't see myself leaving anytime soon.

    Speed: 300Mbps
Support: 10/10 They almost always reply within 5 min in IRC, normally instantly. Very nice people, extremely helpful. Even when the questions are noob'ish, or do not fall under their responsibilities at all, they help.
    GUI: ruTorrent (others available)
Speed of GUI: 9/10 Only very slight delays on % downloaded, etc. Adding torrents and such is near instant.
    Package: Heat1 (100GB HD, 2.5TB bandwidth)
    Price: $18
    Overall rating: 10/10

This is my first seedbox, and I've had it for less then a week. After having looked at probably every seedbox provider, I can't recommend this one enough to newbies like me. Yes, the upload bandwidth has monthly cap, but that's because they offer great speeds. I upload at 20-40 Megabytes per second. I downloaded a 7 gig torrent and was shocked at how fast it downloaded, I honestly thought the client was glitched. It took less then 5 minutes to download the whole thing. It's pretty cheap, only $18 a month for the basic Heat plan, and $15 a month for the Flex plan if you don't mind the speed being 150Mbps, but need a bigger HDD. I would advise against the unmetered plan, I've heard it isn't very good, even the staff doesn't really recommend it from what I've seen. You can get another 2.5TB upload bandwidth on the Heat plan for an extra $3, so honestly the cap isn't a problem. Even without the extra $3 boost, you can upload about 80GB a day before hitting the monthly cap. You can use it as a SOCKS5 proxy for your browser to, which is very nice, they don't count that against your bandwidth cap either. Unlike a lot of other seedboxes I've researched, whatbox allows public torrents to, which is very nice. Also, there was no setup waiting time. It was instant. They don't oversell these boxes either, all in all it's just a great provider.

Sorry if that was long winded, very excited about this box, I have no idea why providers like seedstuff are recommended more often then whatbox especially to noobs, just compare the stats.

Edit: Oh, and check this speed on a fairly new torrent, not even the best I've seen.

This is my first seedbox, and let me tell you, what a great experience. The setup was automatic, as soon as I made the payment my slot was already up. The interface is great, fast, and I got great speeds. Really, I highly reccomend this provider, especially for beginners.

    Name: whatbox.ca (obviously)
    Speed: 150/150
    Support: great 10/10
    GUI: rTorrent
Speed of GUI: 9/10 (10/10 for me would be instant, 9/10 is like 2 seconds)
    Package: 150gb 1.5tb 150/150
    Price: $15/mo
    Overall rating: 10/10

This is my first seedbox, but not my first web service of this nature. These people are good and the product they deliver is good as well. You can do all sorts of cool stuff besides downloading/uploading. You can SSH tunnel (great for irc), FLAC to mp3 and a bunch of other cool linux related stuff. Fastest download I have seen/paid attention to so far is 50MB/s. Fastest upload that I have seen so far is probably 10MB/s. Woot.

Whatbox is a good and newbie friendly starter seedbox since you have all the services you need from start and a very helpful staff.
For your transfer needs you have all the standard services (FTP,SFTP,FXP,SCP and rsync).
You also get SSH access to your box (non-root) and the added feature to tunnel/proxy traffic.

With the Flex plan you do have a transfer cap and in my case 1.5TB/month. Then it is capped at 5Mbps. This is not a problem for boosting ratio on a couple of sites or for "normal" seeding, but if you plan to seed heavily this plan is not for you.

All in all i am very pleased with Whatbox and on new, well-seeded torrents i almost always max out 150/150.

unfortunately I have to add something , I am not that satisfied with whatbox anymore.
As soon as the weekend had started ( Friday afternoon ), the box became sluggish and unresponsive.
Upload wont go any higher than 6MB/s since then and hashing new torrents is taking ages ! ( several minutes for 4GB )

Im not sure if I will renew my subscription...

+1. well usually I am satisfied with their service, its just that there bandwidth limit is a killer. The basic $15 have what like 1.5TB of bandwidth, it gets used up quuuuuuuick. and you're left with a 5mbps which is not much faster than my home connection.
Hey Mister, do you like them?
