Followed this thread and was intrigued with the offer. I paid for service, 12 hours later, it was available.
I thought the 1gb bandwidth would be a difference maker but i haven't seen it - it seems that i've been able to dl about 130 gb - and only get 6 torrents to seed. everytime you 'stop' a torrent becuase of the memory issue, and try to restart it, it queues to re-check - first time for that .
Other things - couldn't get ftp/ssh to work with the same userid/pass - no other options are available.
no wiki, knowledgebase, or other support forum

Added features? None that I can see unlike some of the other companies that have a plethora of options.



This seems like maybe a good idea, but definitely not ready to sell and service its client base.
I also have a seedunlimited 500 plan, pulsedmedia medium 330gb plan and whatbox 230 - all have their advantages and disadvantages, but all exceed this seedbox firm.

I have just paid for a 3 day with them, and so far... I'm VERY impressed. This thing is freakin' fast. I just wish they had some lower price packages besides a $20 starter. I just can't justify $20 a month for a seedbox... $10 maybe, but for that I wouldn't expect much more than what the $3 trial offers except maybe a bit more bandwidth (no more disk space).

Based on the service I've had so far, I'd rate this 8/10 overall, only because of the ongoing pricing. Speed has been phenominal. :)

This is my fist seedbox and I'm some what happy with how its going for the price it was. I'm averaging about 5-9+ Mb/s Download and and average of 100-200+ Kb/s upload, but some torrents have gone up to 2.5 Mb/s, So it all depends on the users download speed. After 24 hours of testing it's become clear to me that there is nothing wrong with the speeds and I am happy with the support.

At 3GB's it's really quiet small and only good for very small things like albums, ebooks, Appz and a movie or two.

Only have one problem with the GUI so far where after the torrent finished it say "Seeding" but after a minute of two it changes to "Complete" and upon starting the torrent again it says "Paused" and you need to Stop it and start it again to get it to seed.

FTP access works fine with FileZilla but once in I noticed there was files from removed + Deleted torrents left behind and one torrent isn't even there yet it says %100 finished in the GUI (Has to send the Files over FTP and the torrent is now working again). Averaging 200-300 KB/s from FTP to Computer which is normal for my connection and not much else to say about the FTP.

For a trail box its been decent so far and if I see better results in the next 2 days I will post back here.

yes, we currently have some "An error occurred Application error" due to install tickets system.
about "pausing and restart" - we will reconfig this, to be more easy to use (but it happened not to all users)
ftp - use multi thread downloading software - like a Flashget.com

and about speed - i am sorry, but NOT agreed with you. 1Gbit - its true speed. many of our customers can support me in this case. Try to another torrent/tracker - it can beat 40mb/s!

Thanks for the reply I have update my review to 7/10 because of the quick support I received from you and the speeds are 1 GBit. I haven't gotten to 40mb/s because I never get the chance to get that fast before my torrent is finished downloading and FTP is working fine with FileZilla.

Ok, I'm now onto day 3 of using this service, and I am still very happy with it. Speeds have been awesome, ranging anywhere from 1 MB/s to almost 6 MB/s. I'm not sure how that equates to other services, however it's much faster than the other seedbox I currently lease.

I definitely plan on staying a customer of Kiwi, and wish them the best of luck. I'll recommend you highly.

I have had many different seedboxes in the past from different companies and i have to say this is without a doubt my favourite. The value for money is great. With a 1Gbps i was expecting it to be faster than seedboxes i had used in the past, and it is! i have seen the speeds of 16MB/s downloading and 10MB/s uploading simultaneously which is great. This speed translates to 128megabit down and 80megabits up which is great, and this is just my first week.

The support i have had is excellent, even though you can only contact them through the TI forum or by email they do an excellent job of it! The responses are very fast from 5 minutes to 2 hours and they are always extremely friendly and always try to help as well as they can. I have recently asked if they can install deluge for me (which is not an option on their site) which they are happy to do!

The only disadvantage with seedbox.co.nz is that there are no extra features installed as standard such as a website proxy (there is a http proxy but this requires some technical knowledge), there is also nothing like rapidleech installed but i am sure that they will install any software that you would like. just ask!

Overall they are a VERY good choice if you are looking for a seedbox provider and i am definitely happy with them and i think i will be staying with them for some time to come! I would give them a 8 or 9 out of 10, only because of the lack of extra features you get with other providers but it is their support that has won me over.
