I've been a Xirvik customer for quite a while. I started out with a Small Shared-Dedi box from them in different locations and none of them had issues. One in the U.S.and the other in another location. But I needed more space and faster speeds so i went with a 1Gbps/800GB in NL and man this box rox. Even though it's shared by other users everyone gets thier fair share of the speeds. My downloads can sometimes go over 50MB/s if the the bandwith is available. So far i've seen jump up to 65MB/s incoming probably because of the local peering in the datacenter but other speeds outside the datacenter are exceptional. Maybe 25-40MB/s daily on a heavy load. Uploads are no problems. I've seen the box get up to 40MB/s outgoing which is fine with me. No complaints here. The space is alot to work with with over 800GB to work with. This is satisfying at least for my needs.

As far as the GUIs theres a few of them to work with. My favorite is rutorrent because of the irssi-autodl plugin which i think is not available on some lower plans. There are other GUIs that you can also use like rtorrent, rtgui and avalanche. To me i think rutorrent is the best because of all the plugins although it takes a while to load especially when you are seeding 100+ torrents.

Support is great. Very fast repsonse time. When i signed up for the plan for the Semi-Dedi in NL i received it in 24 hours although thier website reads up to 72 hours.

Finally transfering the content during certain times to your area via FTP can be miserable during certain times. Since this box is over-seas and i am located on the other side of the globe, speeds can sometimes be miserable even when you are using Mult-Download Threads. I have seen a pattern over the last few weeks and that my speeds are slow during the evening hours only.During the morning, day or afternoon, I max out my 20MB connection. Maybe it's because to many FTP connections from other users at the box or it could be my ISP doing some work. I will have to look further into this issue.



Overall i think its a excellent seedbox. You have all the speed, space and support you need but at a price that is a little $$$.

Support: 10/10, I have had some problems with my server and the support have been always there to help me. I have transfer files through 3-4 different package that xirvik had to offer. The file transfer and pro-rated refunds was handled quick and precise.

I have never had any serious issue with Xirvik. Started out with a semi-dedi like most people would i have moved up to the dedi-us first but it was too expensive for me to sustain and i switch to a cheaper france dedi and nvr switched since.

I have been with xirvik france dedi plan for over half a year now. Price may be a little more expensive that what others have to offer but i like the service being provided and the speed that i am getting from my little dedi box.

I've had this box for about 2 weeks now and I'm very happy with it. It comes pre-configured with a LOT of software. Includes the following features: FTP/FTPES/SFTP, HTTP download, Samba, NZB, Proxy, IRSSI webui (and autodl), Dropbox, Media Player, iPhone interface, Transdroid, Ping/Traceroute, Personal web hosting, PyLoad, Traffic monitoring, RapidLeech, VPN, ruTorrent (all plugins), Xirvik-only ruTorrent plugins (such as explorer), wTorrent, rtGUI, Avalanche, Deluge, uTorrent and Torrentflux-b4rt. Due to the fact that they have some pretty awesome proprietary software, they do not allow SSH/root access on their dedicated seedboxes. SSH/root is only allowed if you buy a plain server from them.

The speeds are excellent, even FTP speeds to the US are very good (most of the time). The only issue you're going to see with this server is due to the HDDs, you are unable to fully exploit the 1Gbps connection on downloads. When I have about 100 torrents active, I generally can never maintain download speeds faster than 25MB/sec. Uploads, on the other hand, are insane. I almost never max out my UL bandwidth because there is just so much bandwidth. I only maxed out the UL once on a very hot torrent. I was uploading to the swarm at 110MB/sec (i.e. 1Gbps).

Overall, I'm very happy with this server, but if you want to get a server that will fully exploit a 1Gbps connection, I would suggest you get one with faster processors, multiple SSD/SAS drives, RAID striping and 24GB+ RAM. Of course, that would cost an additional $100+ per month, which is out of reach for most people. So, if you're looking for a dedicated gigabit seedbox, this is an excellent choice.

Been with xirik nearly a year now, and still love it. Rarely had an issue, and the odd time I did I would email and they would resolve it in no time. My box has an uptime of over 5 months at this point.
