First of all, the owners of those seedboxes are the admins of TorrentLeech. You don't really need to be a member in TL, but if you buy a box you can get an invite.


The setup of my box is almost instant. My payment through google checkout took a while to authorize (about half an hour), but when it was finally auhorized I got an instant mail with my user login.


I'll start with the support, the two guys that are the admins of TL and these boxes are really nice and mostly availabe. I always contact them via IRC, they are online at most of the time. In every case or quistion I had, I got an answer right away.




Speeds are great. I got up to 70mb/s download and 68mb/s upload:






I have to say that the speeds were really stable, they stayed pretty fast for a long time, not like other seedboxes, that I got good speeds too, but it went down really fast.


The only thing that wasn't really good for me with this box was the FTP speeds to my home connection. But don't really think it's the box, it's probably my ISP. I mostly use CuteFTP or FileZille to split my download connections and get higher speeds.
From Site to Site transfer I got max speed of 95mb/s.


Well, in conclusion, I really enjoy this box and the support I get from it. Was really good for me to increase my ratio in some Trackers.

I was interested in turnkey, non-technical seeding. Within a few minutes I was set up. I tested FTP and the OpenVPN and everything went flawlessly. ruTorrent GUI is a little slow to react but that is to be expected when the servers memory is utilized "100%" as indicated.

For the $16/mo pricetag, I am perfectly happy. A nice easy setup for me, a casual user. Only problem is it makes me want to upgrade so I can seed even faster...

Well, the only thing is that when all users uses the HDD alot it's get slow.. but that you'll get on almost every seedbox except to SSD one's that are extremely faster.
Hope they'll come soon with 100GB SSD.. that will be the BEST ;)

I have had a great experience so far with both the box, and the customer service. Speeds for U/L and D/L have been as high as 10MB, and FTP speeds home have been over 25MB.

I have had the seedslot for only a couple weeks, but think it was a great choice. I am a bit of a noob, and all my questions, and issue were taken care of within an hour or so! Great service to start with IMO.

Speed: The most important thing for me. Speeds were fantastic the first couple of days.., then everything slowed down. I submitted a support ticket and was told everything was working as per normal. However, the slot could not seem to cope with more than one torrent being submitted at the same time (it acted on one, paused the other, god help a third so I missed out on crossed seeding with fast loading torrents on good sites). However FTP speeds were great.., maxed out my 40mbps bandwidth (using CuteFTP multiple strand). Consequently my ratio building has slowed down.


The GUI interface was an improvement on my first seedbox.., autodl.irssi and vpn included as standard so you didn't have to ask for these to be installed.


For Noobs? I had to have help to get CuteFTP going as their welcome mail/knowledgebase tended to assume some knowledge and gave incomplete information. It told you what you needed to configure, but didn't say where the windows were being pulled from. I wasted a lot of time window hunting lol! Personally I feel a good site should see that its good to not force noobs to go into IRC/Submit support tickets to get the basics going.


However, in all fairness, this is a shared server so maybe I was getting what that entails (max 2.5 mbps upload). I will be looking for a dedi server next time!

I just wanted a cheap entry level seedbox before I decided on moving to a dedicated or larger seedbox. Setup was really quick, before signing up I tested FTP and it worked well. Considering the load on the server I would say I am happy overall. I am not person who uses it a lot and this seems to work perfectly well for me. I would probably have to move up once I get into a few additional sites I am interested in. The only thing I am missing is ssh access to my slot, if that is enable it would be perfect. Overall I am satisfied.
