My first impression with BioHost was great, until I needed a bit of support. The answer time on tickets is pretty long. I wanted another FTP account and as the product-list says "FTP ACCOUNTS: Unlimited", but the answer i got was "I'm sorry but the way your box was configured we cannot add anymore users." - First of all, I didn't ask for a "special" configuration of my box and I expect to receive the service that i paid for.
It's now been a over a month and I'm still not able to get another FTP account, this is really pulling down the overall rating, even thou the speed is really good, with a good peak of 60-70MB/s on popular torrents.

The speed Biohost.info provides on their servers is great, often ranging from 40-60Mbps down or up. However, the reason why my review isn't glowing, is because the performance of the server was terrible. I constantly have to have my box restarted after simply adding some torrents. Unfortunately there's no method for restarting the box yourself so you have to contact Support, which as most people have experienced, can take quite some time. And for some reason when I message Biohost on IRC I don't always get a response even though I can see him chatting in the main TI channel. In fact, my box was at only 50% storage capacity with fewer than 5 torrents when I proceeded to add 4 torrents and it crapped out on me. These 4 torrents were all the same as I was just trying to cross-seed them.

I'm not sure how much better the bigger servers would perform but I would recommend any potential subscribers to steer clear of the Firebox. I've asked around why a server would perform this way and the answer I always get is that there's just too many users sharing that particular box. Thus, you may have better performance on the larger servers that may or may not have fewer users on them.

All in all, I'm quite disappointed and the only reason why it didn't receive a 0/10 is because the speeds were spectacular when it actually worked.

Edit** Forgot to mention it took over 48 hours to receive my seedbox but mine may have been a special case. Also, when I received the welcome email it did not have the server details so I had to wait until the next day until I got a response from Support with the details just to start using my box. So in total, I lost 3 days in the beginning and I haven't even begun to add up the hours I've lost because my box is unreachable or not responding.

I ordered this service 5 days ago and am still waiting for it to get set up. I put in a ticket after waiting a day, and it took them almost two days to reply back. They said they are having issues and it should be set up in 16-24 hours and contact them if it isn't. So I wait a day, and it's still not set up, so I sent another message to support. It's been two days and I haven't heard back from them. I'm about ready to switch providers. If I stick it out and my service does get started, I'll update this with a more detailed review.

Can I get your account email address? I'm really doubting this has taken longer then 48 hours, we haven't had any delays since a server last week.

I was reading reviews about biohost, and they were pretty hostile and accusative.
I really wasn't expecting anything past a few MB/s, but the speed of this box blew these thoughts to oblivion. Within an hour of receiving the seedbox, I was able to exceed Upload speeds of 70MB/s.

I don't know about you, but that kind of speed for that price? Impossible! Well now it's not!
If you are on a tight budget, go with biohost.

The speed of the GUI is perfect. It was completely responsive throughout the time I used the box. I never saw the CPU usage go past 50%.

The seedbox comes with all the standard rutorrent plugins, so there is no shortness of features.

    Speeds speak for themselves.

It really feels like seedboxes has been around forever. I never got to try one though and when i joined this fine community i noticed the seedbox forums. I later came in contact with Bio who offered me a trial and i, of course, accepted.

My first impression of biohost.info was pretty good i suppose, they quickly replied to my ticket and in an hour or so the seedbox was up and running. Then i simply had to login to the webgui, in this case ruTorrent v3.3, and then add torrents from there. I never encountered any problems whatsoever.
When it comes to speed, oh yes, very nice indeed. I only added torrents from TvT and there was not many leechers that day so i didn't have the chance to fully ultize the upload speeds but i was satisfied nevertheless.

I have to say at 1st I was pleased, my 1st week was good but then it all went down hill from there. Most support tickets got answered within 48 hours but others would go on with no answer at all. My 1st box I calculated I had a downtime of almost 2 weeks. But It was alright Because biohost offered me a months credit. Very nice of him but I had a downtime of a week on that one. And when I asked him to add hdcorea to the hosts he threw the ssh login at me and said I could do it. Little did he know you need root or sudo. I then filled another support ticket asking him to add it to the hosts and that ticket never even got touched.

So if you haven't caught my drift I was not satisfied with the service. I wouldn't recommend biohost to anyone anymore. But on the bright side when it was working the box worked wonderfully. Also if you ever want to login to ssh on your biohost box try the port 7122. This command will fix the scgi error [/usr/bin/screen -dms [username] /usr/local/bin/rtorrent]

    Cheers guys.
