    Default OVH.FR

    Hi mates,

This thread is intended to review all the servers coming from the french OVH network ( including kimsufi's that are the cheapest servers).

I had already tried several servers from them more than a year ago, at that same time, you had to pay setup fees around 50 EUR.

Now, you don't have to :)

Name: OVH FR ( kimsuffi ) Kimsufi 2G
    CPU : Intel Atom/Celeron 1.20 Ghz
    RAM : 2 GB
    HDD : 1TB
    Speed: 100 Mbit dedicated
Support: never had to use it ( wich believe me is the best scenario you can expect )
    GUI: Deluge
    Speed of GUI: 10/10
    Price: 17.93 EUR VAT included
    Data uploaded/ month : 8 TB
    Overall rating: 10/10

Well, i have nothing negative to say about this server.
It's dedicated, you can install any OS you'd like (debian, ubuntu, centOS etc..)
as many times you need, the process takes 15-20 minutes.

The performance is great, hashing a 30GB torrent takes about 8-9 minutes.
You can easily max out the connection both ways at the time, meaning you can download at 10 MB/s while uploading at the same speed !

Beware though, having more than 3 or 4 big torrents downloading and uploading at the same time will decrease the overall performance.

I did upload 8 TB ( using different trackers including high level ones ) in a month and without autoDL scripts and could have done way more,
there is no cap, it's totally unmetered.

    So far, that's the best deal i ever had ( 8TB for 18 EUR !! ).

I believe the OVH FR offers are only for french or europeans ( i'm not sure exactly how many countries are excluded ).

But you will find their servers being resold by a lot of seedbox companies.

    Cheers

Got a Kimsufi 2g as well running Deluge, I'm more than happy with what I got. I'd absolutely recommend it to everyone sitting on a low budget as well, as it's only ~17€ :)

Just got mine, I used wget to download a file from leaseweb's mirror and I went absolutely bananas when I saw 12MB/s! I didn't have time to install something, but according to the reviews I have been reading so far, everything will be good! Price is amazing as well, kimsufi 18€!

Are you sure that's the reason? I removed them and have no problem since one week.
It's weird because they even have a tutorial on how to install or remove the ssh keys: OVH : InstallOvhKey

I also have one, but sadly only a co.uk Kimsufi.
For this price and storage it's definitely a great deal though.

If you need help feel free to PM me, but keep in mind that asking for an invite is not considered help.

Can someone please tell me how long does it take OVH to setup Kimsufi server? On Kimsufi.co.uk it says 1hour, but everything is in french on ovh.com :) I ordered one 3 hours ago, and they accepted my payment, but nothing is yet visible in manager on website, not even order in progress
Ok I managed to translate the contract, and it says 7 day maximum

Thanks. Do I have to mail them my ID or is paying and creating account enough? Sorry but I dont understand more than few words of french :) I am asking because guys at kimsufi.co.uk require IDs to verify person ordering the server, as someone wrote ...
