    Default Seed.ST

Been a member there since 2 days. I am on 100mbit plan.
My ratio went over 4.0 and rising on all trackers.
I like the simple clean layout. I'm also thinking on upgrading to 1gbit.

    Package:
    100mbit
    Overall rating: 10/10
    Any Errors: No
    Transfer Rate Speed: 6-7MB/Down - 4-5MB/UP.

    Updated.

    Name:Seed.ST - High performance seedboxes
    Speed: 10 Gbps
    Support:8/10
    GUI:rutorrent 3.3
    Speed of GUI:8/10
Package:10 Gbps OVH France unmetred/unlimited torrents
    Price:40 $/month
Overall rating:6/10 tested on ipt and bitgamer, TL ratio are harder to get than french tracker usually i get 20+ratio easly on french tracker but when it come to peering Us, speed is not good at all for a 10 Gbps line.
The price is good considering the spec SSD, 8 gig of ram per users and 8 core Cpu. No dedi Hd unfortunely but it's 40$/month, 10 gbps package speed is around the same as 1 gbps package speed.
Oversell server ? maybe that would explain the 10 gbps speed and the cpu load.

I use the box since two week, on an french tracker i can get 50 down/60 up maximum , us peering is not good
I seed one Terabyte a day easly my ratio went from 1.50 to 30+ in one week on a french tracker.
The SSD was the biggest selling point for me.
    Ersan usually answer quickly.
big Disapointement by the peer when it's US, speed is not impressive at all for a 10Gbps with SSD.
If you have a lot of us peer i dont recommand, if you have Eu peer then it's good.
I'm gonna look for another seedbox with better speed for USA and a dedi hardrive.
As Pureshot said in this thread strangely the 1gbps is about the same as the 10 gbps speed(i had both in same time for a week).
So i suggest you to go for 1gbps if you are interested at 25$ instead of 40$

Updated today worth reading if you look for an updated review of seed.st for the 10 Gbps server.

i tried 10gbit too. but up speed did not satisfy me. by the way 50gb is not enough i think. yes you are using 10gbit but just on it's name.

support is good and your seedbox is ready immediately.

    GUI: ruTorrent v3.3
    Speed of GUI: 8/10

Price: $7 a week on my second week
    Overall rating: 9/10

I must say I was impressed with the instant setup and low cpu load on this box. The speed I hit 60MB DL's and 25-30MB UP I was able to increase my ratio very fast with this box on a few trackers.
Biggest pro is the SSD biggest con is the size of the SSD.
I must say for the price it is well worth trying and a good value
I emailed the seller regarding a couple of support questions with FTP and he responded very fast and did his best to try to resolve my issues. I have had better upload speeds with US connects. The big let down for me was the FTP to the US is very limited. after some research I found OVH is not to friendly with some US ISP's

If I could FTP or SFTP on downloads i would keep this a bit longer, however because of the transfer to my pc of 500KB/s compared to 5MB/s from a couple other providers I will not be keeping the box.
Overall this is a great value and simple to use with all plug-ins for a beginner who likes utorrent client, unless you are downloading to the US via FTP. This box I would keep if the storage size 100GB at $10 a week or $30 a month price.

My second 100Mbit shared seedbox, that performed almost as dedicated server. Speeds were on average around 2MB/s total, but when downloading files with ftp/http I could reach 8-9MB/s without problems. Also seedbox to seedbox transfer never went under 8MB/s (and this is shared seedbox) - totally insane if you ask me.
Totally apreciate stats that are available at http://seed.st/stats so you can check how much bandwidth your server is using. For $10 this is one of better deals (best in my experience, but this is my fourth seedbox so im pretty green yet) out there. I managed to upload 1TB in a week just like that.

    Name: seed.st
    Speed: 100 Mbps

    GUI: rutorrent v3.3
    Speed of GUI: 7/10

    Price: 3$ a week, 10$ a month

Don't look at numbers too much, I don't have much to compare it to, new seedbox user. Instead I'll explain.
I spent a week and a few days on this service.

    Downloading:
I suppose people mostly seed (as I do) but it's nice that I can get 8-9 MB/sec downloads, helps to grab a big file fast (for reseeding).

    Uploading:
It varies quite a lot and I didn't exactly understand why all the time. Maybe the number of seeds/peers, maybe other reasons. But when I had some torrents I knew it should seed fast, I always got 1 MB/sec or more on it, with peaks of 5 MB/sec (I even had 6.x for a brief few seconds :D).

    Cpu:
During peak hours it goes to 100% quite often, UI is a bit less responsive, you need to wait some seconds here and there, especially with uploading the torrent files. It's an annoyance alright, well it never actually crashed on me which is good. :)

Hdd: I guess Ssd's are nice for the speed, but I am not a 'pro' anyway and I just appreciate the 225Gb, it's very nice that one is able to seed blu ray rips and then some. For now I happily take the extra space instead of speed. :)

The statistics page is nice to have as it was said before me.

    Overall experience:
I'm new to private tracker world, and this seedbox has helped me a lot. Uploaded about 1 Tb in first week, which is pretty cool. Made some nice ratios/buffers on some trackers, on others it's more difficult and I'm still trying to figure out a good way to seed but that's probably more related to trackers themselves (no easy way to seed torrents with eg. 4/4 people on it).
The main advantage is the price. Sure I believe you, there are better seedboxes, but I can't really afford 25-50$ a month for something as low priority as this (you know, there's rent, bills, food and tens of things coming before torrents and seedboxes :) ). So considering I am on a 3$/week plan I am more than happy with this service, it just works. Had no technical problems so far and I hope I won't have many, servers do break down sometimes that's life but maybe I'll get lucky and it won't be this one. :)
I said overall 8/10 because more responsive Cpu and even more network bandwidth surely gives a better result, but for the money payed it's a 10/10 hands down.
Just make sure this is what you need, if you're a power user, and seeding and ratios are your main hobby then you probably need to look for a bigger plan like 1gbps or ssd. But if you just want to build some buffers so you can relax and grab a movie or something whenever you need it, yeah, this is the one to go with.
I was a bit cautious at first, thinking why is this so cheap, maybe it's no good at all, so I was ready for the worst. It didn't come. The main selling point at that point was the 3$/week part, I mean I said hey, if it doesn't work at all I'll be a bit pissed but it's the price of a pack of cigarettes or 1-2 beers so really not much to lose.

All in all I'd recommend this to any torrent/seedbox newbies, it just might be well enough for you and it's great for learning how a seedbox works (ehm, it's quite self-explanatory actually - looks like any other torrent client). For people that know their stuff, well you probably already know if this is enough for you or you need more.

Do not buy 10 gbit seedbox from this provider at any rate
    Name: seed.st
    Speed: 10 gbit
    Support: 1
    GUI: rutorrent v3.3
    Speed of GUI: 6/10
Package: Lite, 10 gbit 50 gb ssd
    10 $ weekly
    Overall rating: -1(minus one)/10

here is my 3 day experience with 10 gbit plan
lol it is quite frustrating to bear with this provider
here is the list of reasons
1- on first day the server went down and all of the torrents were stopped (not just stopped simply disconnected meaning the uploaded data was not recorded to the trackers)
server started after 15 minutes but all torrents were stopped due to ghost torrents and GUI was simply unresponsive
this lasted for about 1 hour
2- the disk space utilization was not displayed on the interface - i sent email to them and they reinstalled rutorrent
loss of another half hour during installation
3- day two - yet another server down and that too at a prime time when i had downloaded two hot torrents from bitme and one big torrent from GFT ( this time also
it simply got disconnected without updating stats which mean losing all uploaded data over previous half an hour)
two GFT torrents i have keep on the disk for 48 hours consuming space simply because of this server down
i have just started uploading 2 hot bitme torrents when server went down

    this really pissed me off
i got in to their irc channel and asked to look in to the matter
the guy in the irc channel logged in to seedbox and just simply brought to my notice that the torrents arent seeding because of my tracker errors ( which he thought i havent noticed before)
the error was connection limits exceeded due to ghost torrents caused due to server down issue
the irc guy was not acknowledging the fact that their sever went down ,he was just blaming it on trackers
when finally i brought to his notice that actually its all due to their server issue he stopped replying to me at irc
the irc guy is dumb or either pretends to be dumb
i asked for refund or extension of seedbox period
reply- we don't do refunds, seedbox subscription can't be edited so no extension

i sent all these problems to their email
their reply-i reinstalled your rtorrent, theres nothing else we can do, we dont do refunds, if you are unhappy with the service, you should either downgrade or try a different provider.

i idled in bitme and GFT help channels for about half an hour just to flush ghost torrents so i can seed the torrents

day 3- added scc pack and 1 torrent from HDC to download before sleeping
when i wake up an see that both torrents are stopped without no reason whatsoever ( i suspect they stopped the torrents coz i posted against them in the forum)

in short for any problem i complained about only got single line reply- we have reinstalled your rutorrent

day 4- only day without problems

day 5 - seedbox terminated 24 hrs prior to its scheduled expiry. owner blamed it on paypal

Don't buy seedbox from this provider
