Default Whats the point of a SeedBox?

Is there any point in getting a SeedBox if your ISP doesn't throttle your bandwidth? Or is it solely for that reason?

anyways on topic, i found some information for you:

It's up to you to get one, but personally, I don't think I'm ever going to pay for a seedbox, since it seems kind of odd to pay for something to help me download torrents that I wanted free in the first place.

Another way I look at it is it allows you to maintain a ratio you couldn't at trackers otherwise allowing you to avoid pay to leech VIP subscriptions and becoming power user status easily.

'sup, these are your speeds from your home connection I pulled from your intro:

Your download is pretty decent but your upload is really bad so yes, a seedbox would benefit you substantially especially on a hard to seed tracker like what, waffles or even scc. You could probably make due with cross seeding techniques but overall you're going to have a difficult time with those speeds. Not that it isn't possible but you're going to have to make really smart choices with your snatches, which to me takes away from the fun of leeching and seeding in the first place.

ISP throttling is a terrible situation for us torrenters but poor upload speeds are almost as bad. As you start attaining access to more reputable trackers you're gonna want to keep a positive ratio on them because of their value. If you're ratio starts suffering for whatever reason you will find that a seedbox may be the perfect remedy.

A seedbox can be very usefull, it can keep your seeds dry and away from the elements, which will prevent premature germination.

    lulz

On a serious note, seedboxes can be usefull for the following things, ratio boosting/buffering and can also help you gain access to the higher level trackers. You'll notice some inviters will request you have a seedbox or a good upload speed before they will invite you to certain trackers.

Nice one! But I disagree. You want your seeds to germinate and make flowers. Low bandwidth would be like poor irrigation. You can germinate and sprout under the sun like everyone else but a seedbox would be like a heat lamp and hydro system allowing your seeds to vegetate.

I use a seed-box not only for the speeds / security but to save the wear and tear on my computer, Its nice to be able to shut it down and still be seeding.

I use it specifically to seed torrents/increase my upload count on trackers.

The speeds on a seedbox will almost always dominate those of an ISP. So even if you're not being throttled, a seedbox is still a good idea.
