Default [advice] cheap, occasional use, big files, speed is irrelevant

Hi, I'm thinking about buying a seedbox but I don't want to spend a lot of money.

Occasional use, let's say, once or twice a month, but big files, 10 to 60GB.

I'd like to know if there's any plan besides monthly payments. The best would be "pay as you use", for example, a xGB account for y€ but with no time limit.

    Thats Not how Seedboxes Work,
Although Usenet i think works like that..

But thats like a torrent site,
    and not a offshore Box

I don't mean to jump your thread (BiLLi0) but i wanted to get a seedbox too and i wanted it just for a month.. Isnt it possible to get just for a month?

How long do you have to have it for?

    @LAALLDAY

Yeah, nearly all providers do boxes on 1 month rolling contracts. Some do weekly slots aswell. Also most will offer you some discount if you purchase for more than one month at a time.

Xirvik does one week at a time one of these plans. It is quite fast and you can move quite a few gigs. I signed up for a standard plan a couple of weeks ago and was very pleased with the performance and data moved. I also only did one week at that time.

I personally wouldnt use either of them.

The first one is torrentflux bart and its not nicest thing to be using.
But both have very low limits on the active torrents. (3)
You should still get OK ratios. But imagine if you accidently took 2 torrents that were going very slow and you were not getting even 1:1 on them. You would have to leave them and only have one slot to play with.
Even for $10 you can get a decent spec. Maybe even just take a weekly box.
I do weekly ones (I wont say them name though) for £8.50 on a gbit. Within that week you could do 1TB easy and not need to worry about the active torrent limits. Also has much more space.
So you could load up a couple of torrents, see how they go.. If they are doing good, load up a couple more.

If ur buying a seedbox they should come pre-installed with the software. Most are using rtorrent/rutorrent nowadays.
Its a very easily client to use. Just wait for your details to come through, then login to the webui and start adding torrents.
You will have that killer ratio in no time. Just be prepared to pay that little extra for the right service.
Some deals look cheep and thats normally because they are, they may impose some hidden limits or they may just be overloading the servers with 10+ users on them.
I would stick to a pretty well known company if your looking to maximize ur ratio in a very short period of time
