Thread: question about seedunlimited and xirvik

hello everyone, i never used a seedbox before yesterday, and i saw seedunlimited and xirvik has promotion to try for 1 day and 3 days so i am using them right now.

here is my question, as i know, xirvik is the one of the best seedbox provider around torrent world, so i wanted buy a dedicated server which has

100mbps internet connection
500gb hdd

and the price is 94$ for a month

and here is the seedunlimitied

10.000 mbps (10gbit!!) internet connection
2TB hdd

and price is only 64$



so what is wrong here? seedunlimitied provides VERY VERY fast connection and lower price than xirvik...

i read the reviews for seedunlimitied and xirvik, for SU people are not satisfied but for xirvik %95 of the people are very happy..

and my second question is; what is the difference between dedicated seedbox, semidedicated seedbox, and shared seedbox? (xirvik has these 3 category of seedboxes)

i know dedicated is only for you so if i buy it all of the 100mbps connections is mine right? it is not shared? is it right?

and for semi-dedicated, it is shared by 3 people.. so connection is divided by 3 and we only got 33 mbps connection? is that right?


i dont have any idea what is shared seedbox.

edit: ok i talked with a guy from xirvik on msn support and understand everything about dedicated, semidedicated and shared seebox...


so only thing get me confused is seedunlimitied is way faster than xirvik and low price.. but i dont trust SU. ( i dont know why, it is prejudice i think) so which company should i go with?

The 10gbit is shared (2+ people on one server) while the 100mbit is dedicated.

Also 100mbit/3 does not equal 33 mbps constant use. Sometimes you will take most of the bandwidth while other times someone else will.

i wonder how many people shares it.. if 5 people shares, it is still fast.. 2gbit for each person.. is it possible that, it is shared by +10-20 people?

hi coldfire and welcome to t-i, I do have a dedi from xirvik (germeny) and i must say i feel very happy with it. ill be honest to say that i havent tried any other ones but i did have a semi dedi from xirvik for three months and i really think you cant compare. i know its alot of money and sometimes hard for me to justify but really dont know i could go without after having it for a while now! i hope this helps good luck

edit: and can you tell me the speeds of down and upload u've seen?

DO NOT got for seedunlimited...they are very very very BAD.....i have a 10gb/s with them now and the speed is only like 1mb/s and thats even on new torrents + you cant even get a refund or contect any1 there as i still have open tickets from 29th december.

so stay well away from them.

xirvik all the way if you are picking between the 2 as i have had a box with them before and they were top notch

yeh mate depending what torrents etc, both up and download have maxed out. yesterday on one popular torrent getting 7-8 mbs and like i said i havent used nothing else except for xirvik
