Thread: Is Downloading from Seedbox with FTP Safe?

Hello everyone,

I understand that the actual use of a seed box is safe, but what about when downloading the files from your seed box using an FTP client like cuteFTP? Can your ISP or anyone for that matter easily snoop in and see what is going on? I know with torrent clients it is very easy, because your IP address is in plain site. I am mostly concerned about DMCA notices.

just use sftp as the connection on your ftp client :) then its all secure for you

I always recommend using FTPS or in filezilla FTPES.

This is a secure connection, Sftp as i understand is just an SSH type connection and not actually secure. I could be wrong but thats my understanding of it.

As long as your using a secure connection your as safe as you can be :)

i meant ftps but as you stated use filezilla and switch transfer to ftpes :)

goto your site manager, right click then properties on your seedbox
