I've been on 2 other seedboxes [including Feral] that used ruTorrent, and have seen similar issues. It's been awhile so my recall is a bit fuzzy, but increasing the RPC timeout from default of 5 secs seemed to help.

I currently use Bytesized Hosting. They have good seebox options, as well VPS options, which I'm using. If interested try this link http://bytesized-hosting.com

Thanks to shadowbuild for repping me in.

i use their shared box too but i have different opinion. Speed of Gui is really great but download and upload speed flactuates a lot. The box is not symmetric which results to lower upload speed when download speed is high. sometimes speed drops below Kb7s but for short time but it goes up again. this happens very often which is really annoying.

All in all, when the box works healthy speeds are in good range (i got max 8 Mb/s) but it happens seldom. Normally dl and ul speed are 2-3 MB down to sevral KB/s!!!

Some people may find Feral so great, but you will not understand the feelings of those having all the problem. CMon .. there is a freeleech announcement for only few hours and your seedbox crashing or getting disconnected every minute or you can't go beyond 2 MB upload even on a fresh torrent? Thats sucks!!

I agree that sucks, but again I am thinking you are an isolated issue, far from the norm of most users.

When I upload HD season packs (download from one tracker/initialseed on the other tracker). I easily find myself pushing 3+MB/s even with as few as 4-5 peers.

Gold - I think you have some misconceptions about what your seedbox is capable of. If you are expecting your max 12.5mbit 24/7 up I'd recommend buying your own dedicated box and become an uploader on sites.

@freu0047: Don't misunderstand me mate. I Just shared my experience with these providers:)

I don't expect 12.5 MB/s 24/7 but i expect at least consistency of the box. I know that on shared box, you can't get the max speed when all users are using it at the same time but i am not also expecting to complete 1:1 ratio 1:1 in 12 hours:) If you try for example seedmonster boxes, then you know what i mean. The speeds are not at their max but always constant.

When I said my opinion about feral, I also mentioned that on Neon slot, everything was just near perfect and I had those problem just on Impact plan. didn't I? I also said about bytesized that when the box work in good shape, speeds are near max but it donsn't last long and it has a lot of up and downs.

    So guys

I didn't renew my membership and looked for another seedbox company and couldn't find one that suited my price range and needs....
So i went crawling back to Feral Hosting.

I got a new plan with Neon 2, which has a higher download speed, bigger HDD but capped upload limit of 2TB.
I setup Deluge as a thin client and I have seeded an average of 1.8TB for 2 months now.

    I couldn't be more pleased.

So I now recommend Feral Hosting to anyone.

    Happy seeding.

Heya, so on feral hosting, it says that when you hit 1tb upload on the cheapest box, your upload will be reduced. I assume this upload includes FTP? Also, how much does it get reduced to?

    Cheers.

Yes the upload traffic also includes FTP and from my experience, probably to around 25-50 KB/s.
