if you don't already know, I work for SeedMonster on the side a little. I talked to Raul recently who owns SeedMonster and I was able to get some more suitable deals for TI!

By New Year's Day we hope to implement our new monitoring system which will be packaged with our User Control Panel. User Control Panel?
Yes, our clients will be able to use many of their seedbox functions from it. The panel works remotely on the highest quality network center in Canada with 100% uptime(~99.96% 153 days up since 26 Jul 2010), amazing worldwide peering, and plenty of ram and CPU to process simple or complex user functionality without bogging down your torrenting.

From this panel we have a few things we are finished or currently programming:
-Live Support
-Tutorials and FAQ database.
-Remote file access with Ajax via your web browser to download, view, or upload.
-CGI Proxy(We are looking into a SOCKS Proxy.)
-Access to Pro Monitoring.
-Many more features to come!

Pro Monitoring?
We are installing agents on all our servers to monitor critical processes. The agents will monitor stuff like HTTP, FTP, SSH, Rtorrent, uptime, CPU, memory, etc. This will be included in your User Control Panel. We want to be as transparent as possible when it comes to server side problems with our clients. You can now know down to the second when a problem happens and when it is fixed without any intervention.

Monitoring is only half the battle though. Once a problem has been detected we have tons of escalation procedures in place for each individual problem. You will be notified of all critical problems such as rtorrent crashing which is not very uncommon. We do have scripts to monitor this already, however, sometimes they have been known to fail and we want to take it to the next level. Other things like optimizing the CPU and Memory for efficient use is automatic and will not notify you, it will only show up in the logs. Our system can look for the smallest change in performance and optimize it on your seedbox. So far it's been a successful project, however, if it does fail it will contact a network technition immediately for the odd problem it cannot fix. All problems are logged, thus we are always improving the system! You can view the procedures that are taken to improve your server on a daily basis with ease, but only notified if something serious has happened.

Now you can rest easily knowing your seedbox is running at it's full potential.

I'm a current SeedMonster client. Does this apply to me?
The User Control Panel? Yes, we will soon put it up across every server and notify you when it is complete. However, any new customer will have it installed first. The prices? Yes, but you will need to let your current plan expire.

Makes sense for me to upgrade now basedon the new prices.
