Ordered the shared 1gbs box for one month. Will see how it goes and that will depend on whether I keep it.
It is my first seedbox and I have no idea what to do. Hopefully rutorrent or whatever web interface is there is easy to use.

forgot to mention it was the $69.95 package, which actually seemed like a pretty good deal for a US server with a shared 1gbs connection. What do you think?
Yup gr8 i wish i could have one..Hey i would also like to know about how to use seedbox and how it is looks like...thanks..
RUTorrent has the exact same interface as uTorrent. You will have no problem using it at all. :) Keep us up to date on how it is. I currently have a GBit shared with varsbox.com. Its wonderful.
You made a really good deal in my opinion, cause xirvik has awesome seedboxes... and with a gbit you can really improve your buffer in trackers and also upload ;)
As 3Mik3 refered you will have no problem with rutorrent gui. If you are used to utorrent is exactly the same thing... the only difference with a seedbox is that so you can see the movies etc you need to download stuff from the box ftp. Not paying attention to that is as using your computor to upload, using a browser :D
I've got a 1Gbps dedicated on order with the lovely chaps over at Xirvik too, 4TB of storage, 100 TB monthly data transfer, ok it costs a fair few quid more than my slots over at Feral Hosting were, but I think it will be worth it in the end.
I'm not happy with my xirvik box.
Seems like there isn't enough memory or something. It is really slow and at times it comes to dead stop. I don't think the bandwidth is all that great either, but I don't have experience enough to say if it is the box or my choice of torrent.
But another thing I don't like is how slow it is a "checking" a torrent for when I cross seed. There are two speeds. Either slow or dead slow. Doesn't compare to my box at home. Not even close. Sometimes the interface blips out and it stops updating the download bar.. constant weird glitches. I restart the torrent server a couple times a day but I don't think it helps.
I don't know. I think maybe what I want is a windows box with remote desktop and utorrent. That would be my heaven.
There is a workaround to this. Check the bottom of my post here: http://www.torrent-invites.com/tutor...tml#post688807
