    Default RSS feed and Seedbox

    Hi guys,

Recently I purchased a seedbox which has rtorrent/rutorrent client, and I would like to ask how safe it is to use rss feeds/rss manager, because in order to use these you have to insert your uid and passkey(encrypted) into your seedbox's client.

What do you mean by safe?
I use RSS plugin for some trackers and it's amazing, specially if you snatch freeleech torrents :) and I've never had a problem, all my upload is credited

When i say safe, I mean if someone can take these infos and gain access to the tracker account.

I don't think so. The passkey is isolated from the access info to the tracker. The worst scenario would be that someone start downloading the torrents with your passkey embebed; this would affect your ratio but would not compromise your account information.

BTW you can reset your passkey anytime you want.

He thinks someome will get his acc and password bacause he save that in the seedbox. He is worring about this. Of course the admin of the server can take your acc + pas ,but i think they wont do this dirty things , they will lose theire business wihout honest.

I use many feeds and I've never had to put in my UID or Password. It's a very antiquated method. I'm not on any trackers that use it any more.

    retriving an old thread, huh!

back on topic, One need to believe their seedbox provider that amount to build up the buffer.
One thing, when you put your torrents in the seedbox with your passkeys associated with them, then you can also put the feeds, too..

You can use the rss of utorrent on your computer and aumatically upload the .torrent files with cutefpt (using folder monitoring) in rtorrent's watch directory.
