Thread: What.CD members, what seedbox do you use?

The last month I've been testing some seedbox providers trying to find the best quality/price relation because I plan to keep a seedbox for some months :D

In general, my experiences have been good. I seed a lot of torrents to several trackers and I haven't had a problem or at least that's what I thought. Something weird happens with my seedbox, specially when I want to seed a torrent in What.CD. I'm getting an average of 75% - 85% of timeouts in the torrents, and it only happens with that tracker. For example, a couple of days ago I uploaded a 12+ GB torrent that has been downloaded 3 times (100%) and I was credited only 2 GB of upload. Looking at the torrent's stats I realized other user has uploaded 15+ GB and with the same torrent while I only uploaded 2 GB.

The weird thing is that in the seedbox, the torrent has a ratio of 2.15 and ruTorrent reports 22.8+ GB uploaded. I understand there might be partial seeders but come on, where are my other 20+ GB?. Talking with a member of the staff, I was told it might be a problem with the seedbox; in the forums they say OVH is a problematic network, that causes a lot of issues with the tracker.

I don't understand how OVH works perfectly with every single tracker I'm member of, but not with What.CD. That's why I opened this thread. I'd like to read the opinion of some fellow members of What.CD and ask for a recommendation. I'd like to test a seedbox without this kind of weird behavior. It's discouraging when you pay some bucks for a box and you find that only a percentage of your upload is being credited to you. Thank you :)

Note: All my seedboxes are hosted in the OVH network.

    Thank you

Hi m8, All that stuff you said also happened to me last night!
I don't know why but most of the torrents did take an hour or so to connect to what.cd tracker & afterwards they were all fine! :)
By the way I'm using PulsedMedia Seedbox!
And the error which pops up is
Tracker Status: Tracker: [Couldn't connect to server]
Edit: There are still some torrents which are showing up this error, even after 12hrs or so & hence not getting uploaded/downloaded!

And lemme crack that 12GB thing for u alankun...When you starting the torrent in ur client, you must have got connected to tracker at initial period & with that you got connected with peers too(3 peers) & then what must have happnd is that you got disconnected from tracker but you were still connected to peers & seedbox was uploading data to peers as usual but wasn't able to update the tracker simply bcoz it wasn't connected to it!
    Thats all about it!

    Thanks sTuDD,
Is there a workout for that situation?. I don't want to change the provider just for one tracker.

That sucks, and I don'w know why it happens only in what, ain't them the creators of gazelle? I'd hope their tracker (not the content) wasn't that "weird".

Try switching to an LeaseWeb based server. At least that is what the users at What.cd are doing, or get used to the timeouts, like Charmander said.

I'm pretty sure my seedbox is on OVH, and I do get torrent timeouts alot, but I've never had an issue with not getting upload credit..
