Thread: How to setup Santrex.net seedbox?

Alrighty I got the 30GB for $29 USD. I was just wondering how do I set it up? (Like a full tutorial).

What OS is it running?

I was going to sign with them but I heard the speeds are not good. It would be nice if you can tell us about the service later.

Ok I don't have the fastest sites so on nordic-t i got DL 5-6MBs and on Tbits 4-5MBs. Uploads vary buy I don't think are the fastest. I've seen 600kb/s at the fastest (That I've seen.)
Usually I see it at around 300kb/s.

I get over 7,000kB/s with torrentswift uploads with some good torrents.

Yeah I wanted to get them but I don't got linux for the nice $9 one :(

edit: And yes I'm guessing this seedbox has garbage speeds because sometimes their slower than my home connection...

I don't know what you mean by 'set it up' , you will not get a server , the only thing they will give you is the http adress and user+pass to acces the torrentflux software , you only have acces to the software , where's no setup to do.


And to answer the question about the speed , they overcharge the servers and you will get max 1 or 2 Meg of upload , down can go up to 3 or 4 MBs for short time.

tech support is bad

I have 30 GB utorrent with Santrex and speeds aren't so bad. I have it for 2 weeks and it's obvious 30GB it's not enough. You can't download really big torrents. With small torrents it's not easy as well. Can't keep them on SB for 2 long. Appart HDD space this option is worth this $29.

Download speeds on trackers I use 10 MB/s :)
