Thread: [Help] rutorrent's UL and DL rate setting of Xirvik's seedbox

It's first time for me to use a seedbox. I bought a semidedi box (100Mb/s for 3 users said by xirvik). When I got the box, I selected rutorrent as webgui and found its max UL and DL rate are set as 12288Kb/s (12MB/s). I used it for TL, BHD, BCG... and total torrents are around 10. I found my total UL speed is not good. Most time is around 1.0MB/s (or less).

is UL speed normal for my box? Should I change some setting, such as UL and DL's max rate setting, to make box's UL speed better? Could someone who also use xirvik's box give me some advice?

Try playing around those numbers and see what happens?

It depends on the server and where its located. Depends if they are hot torrents or not? You wont get max upload if their are seedboxes already on that torrent. If your downloading fast, Im pretty sure their is a seedbox on it. But 12mb from xirviks, is the stock setting I used when I got it. I maxed out a torrent at 10mb down and 10mb up. Real crazy that lasted like a few min though. So get hot torrents and you should see better numbers. Other then that, its working fine.

Its all about the torrent, tracker, and peers. I bet if you grab a public torrent that just came out, your speeds will max out. I would stay off the public trackers though.

12mb/s is what you will max when you have 100mb line.
