Default Uses have same IP for Semidedicated server?

I'm totally new for seedbox. not a good question :)

If I use a semidedicated server as a seedbox, such as xirvik's semidedis. If the slots per server are 3. So do the 3 users have ONE IP? or each user has different IP?

    thx:001_smile:

    Edit: one more question :)
For a semidedicated server, if link speed is 100Mbit/s and slots per server are 3. so for each user, average speed should be around 33Mbit/s, is my understanding right or not?

At Xirvik, each users have their OWN/Unique IP. i.e if there are 3 users, they will have 3 unique IP each.

Second Thing is that on a 100Mbit server, you should be getting maximum speed of 10-11Mbps and not 100 Real Mbit.

On a 1 Gbit server, you will get real 100Mbit Connection. Atleast thats how i know it :P

Hey admiral, nice diagnosis! I would like to point out some stuff if I may! A 100mbit line is maximum to about 12 mb/s download and upload speed. I have seen this many times on hot torrents. And yes if it is shared you are sharing with 3 people.

A 1gbit or 1000mbit line maximum is 120mb/s. Which I hardly see these speeds ever, but is most of the time shared. I would say a 100mbit line dedicated will alway's top a 1000gbit line shared. And if you have a 1000gbit line dedicated, you are certainly paying a huge price. I dont think I have heard an arrangement, but in fineprint its most of the time shared. Also, they have a cap, or upload limit! So read the fineprint, and you will be able to tell. Have a good day! Most I seen on a 1gbit box is 65 mb/s. down and up. This was a super hot torrent!

For 100Mbit/s link speed, the max speed of download and upload is about 12MB/s (not bit/s). In general, the speed in BT software (such as utorrent) is B/s.

thanks Admiral and InsanePinoyBoy for your posts and info.
