Thread: Need the help to find a good dedicated seedbox

Hey all

My main seedbox right now is the xirvik semi-dedicated box, it has been alright. The problem is I can't winrar the files I download to there which causes me big problems. Their dedicated box actually has a line waiting, so I don't think I would be able to get one soon.



Then I need your advice about getting another dedicated seedbox. My budget is about $50, I would like to have no setup fee, and hopefully no bandwidth limit either.

@matty, Personally I've been using Xirvik seedboxes for quite some time now and I haven't had any problems and I think they have very reasonable prices, you might want to check them out, they have all kinds of plans, Shared boxes, Semi dedi and Dedicated servers for all your needs, and they don't charge you a setup fee.

Hey Matty, try seedhost.eu. They are an OVH/kimsufi re-seller without setup fee's. Also they have old server plans so there is no cap on the bandwidth. I used these guys in the past and can vouch for them. The only problem is they can be a little expensive at times. If u have any questions please feel free to ask. Ill also look around for some more reliable re-sellers for u.

pegasus28, I am using a xirvik semi-dedicated box, but it has been pretty brutal since I am competing with 2 other heavy uploaders on the same machine. Xirvik dedicated box actually has a waiting line, and there is no tell when I will be getting mine, so I decided to look around.

MikeD, thank you for your great advices, I am contacting seedhost.eu and see what they got. I looked at the providers in your other thread, they capped the upload pretty heavily, like 1~3T per month. Seriously? I am uploading 3T by using my shared box. I looked at Feral and stuff like that, but I really don't like the expensive set up fee and bandwidth cap of 3T. I really appreciate your help to look around for me if possible, since I don't really know where to look at now.

Your welcome and i am glad to help out. Just to let u know the "start n play" seedbox's at seedhost.eu are dedicated. If u want root just ask them and they will give it to u. I believe the only server they have the 3TB limit on is the first one in the seedbox & dedicated section. Like i said though they can be expensive, but worth it imo. Ill still look around for u though.

Yes, MikeD, I am checking out the "start and play" seedbox, the 40euro one. It looks legit. Glad to know it's indeed a dedicated box with root access, and the description says "100Mbps unlimited", so I figure they shouldn't cap the bandwidth. I sometimes upload files, so I definitely need to have a dedicated box to at least use winrar to manipulate files.
