    Hi Moo,

I'm really keen to know how you've been going at DigiCube the last couple of weeks?

A group of TI members and I are about to do a trial run with 8 users on a Digi Large (upgraded a fair bit). The eventual plan, should the trial go well, is to rent more boxes so as to have only 3 users per box. Our organising thread is over here

Have you been transferring more lately? Any other points of interest?

Any news on your experiences there would be highly appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Frizz

I haven't been transferring that much (though I have 400 torrents running), I haven't had any problems, though it may be worth noting that speedtest.net does not display a great speed, multiple connections get the full 12MB up and down however and as this is what torrenting is there is nothing to worry about, though Id be interested by what you get in a speedtest. In my opinion they dont bother checking users.

Atom Processors from view it wont handle many torrents. user will suffer from many crashes of the system.

Well I believe it is because you are downloading small files not packs. 300 torrents no way you have many packs on them. It wont go for someone as packs lover as me.

Processor is the last thing you should be worried about in torrenting, the main factor that affects torrenting is hard disk IO and maybe the second would be RAM. I am on a dedicated seedbox with a C2D processor but due to heavy iowaits (65%+) the processor has to wait.

I think you'll find cpu is useful when it tried to hash them all :x anyway I've updated the first post.
