    Default seedhost.net ftp speeds

I've recently got myself seedbox from seedhost.net. The seedbox itself isn't bad, though I hoped for upload speed a bit more then 2 Mb. But that's not the problem.

The problem is FTP speed. I am currently downloading from FTP with a speed about 10-25 kb/s. My home internet connection is 7 Mbps, so 25 kb/s is kinda very low for me.

At first I was using Filezilla to connect to ftp. That's when I first found out that the speed is low. I wrote a support ticket and they said that they've checked FTP speeds and they are running full 100 Mbps. They suggested me to change FTP client to FlashFXP or Flashget.
Well, I've installed FlashFXP just now and the speed is still the same 10-25 kb/s.

Anyone have any ideas what can be the problem?

Are you using an active or passive connection? Are you forwarding all the right ports and configured your FTP client to use only them? Have you told your FTP client to use your external IP address as the source of requests?

Do you see commands in the FTP transaction log that include your internal (LAN) IP address which take a while to process?

    Example: Command: PORT 192,168,1,102,4,119

I had some trouble with a seed box provider FTP service as well, depending on how its configured at their end you have to do some advanced configuration on your end to get it working at full speeds. Passive mode often 'just works' with NAT configurations but I have found in some situations its not ideal or will still require a little additional config to make it great.
