Hi batfink,
You can test http://itshidden.com/. You can have a free account, limited. Or you can pay for full access. Don't have the details...
I use it from work to bypass the firewall, works well (free account).
Stating the obvious, any VPN with limited access or bandwidth quotas uses logs, or else they don't know when you've used your quota. You also would like to know if your VPN has a spine or is even an leo honeypot. I tend to believe no one will guard your personal information zealously for $13.95 a month. Itshidden just signed up 100,000 new members. Popular? Maybe you'll be hidden in the swarm like a meatball of sardines. If you click the "vpn" tag in the cloud at filesharefreak, up pops a few good articles and a list of about a dozen services, some ok, some not so good. Torrentfreedom and cryptocloud(or maybe it was cryptoghost) looked interesting, some serious anonymity, and the support forum has a couple of forums that look like the topics are "cross-species" intimacy. Those guys probably prefer to fly way under the radar. To each his own.
There are PPTP, L2TP, OpenVPN, and some other proxies. Try the one-month options and find one that works with the computer, the connection, and the type of downs for which you specifically need them. Weird, but my VPN works fine at my place and 1M up/down, but not at my buddy's 1Mup/15Mdown (it won't even connect), and P2P doesn't work in either place.
Some trackers ban you for using vpn. Good luck sorting out the mess. I spent months trying to figure it out and am sure I know less now than when I started.

Working my way toward 50 posts ONE RANT AT A TIME. I ought to get to 33% by 2011. If you take what I write seriously, Dude you got no sense of humor!
There was a lot of loud pounding on the front door and someone yelling, "ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, AND FIREARMS!"
Hell, I thought it was a delivery.
Been using Cienen, Strong VPN and VPNUK
Cienen (UK) $12.95 and StrongVPN $15.00 (US, UK) both with dedicated IP's using the fastest OpenVPN - Both of these along with my EU seedboxes are the strongest first line of defense for me.. I'm on a 20mbs down US cable connection..Speedtests on Cienen UK pull a whopping 3Mbits down and 300K up and that's overseas!..StrongVPN US connects at 8.8Mbs down and 1.5Mbs up.
My VPNUK about $14, connection is running L2TP and is a bit slower..Probably logged, but cheap and I have a Spain IP address which suits my needs..I don't run that but on rare occasions and specific purposes.
I'll offer these ideas for others that are reading, in case you already know Batfink: I would get a dedicated IP if you want to reduce the chances of being banned..Many many shared IP's (and some dedicated) are blacklisted for spam and fraud..Especially IP's in OVH ripe zones..
In any event, you should post a note in your tracker profile, or let your mods know you've switched behind a dedicated VPN for protection. Many trackers won't ban you outright for using a VPN, as the passkey system has pretty much solved the muti-computer login problem..but as SomeoneElse mentioned above, you'd better check their rules or ask in IRC..
Keep it running as much as possible to show some stability in your connection. Nothing worse that an admin seeing logins from many different connections in a short space. I had that situation recently while testing different companies and can only imaging what my mods were thinking..
And finally there's a cool site called checkmytorrentip that you can really see how your proxy (bad) or VPN (good) is working in your torrent client..
have fun

You can always hit the THANKS button at the bottom of posts or the http://www.torrent-invites.com/style...reputation.gif at the bottom left if you've been helped by someone.
These guys are not the cheapest but they seem to give you alot for what you pay and the ability to change what location you want on the fly Perfect Privacy — Encrypts your Internet at Home and While Away on Business, SSH Tunnels, VPN, Anonymous High Security and Elite Squid, SOCKS 5 and CGI Proxies, Safe Offshore Servers on Different Continents.
I have not used them yet but I am still researching this (I live in Aus and our current prime minister wants to filter our internet like china does), and have found this site in my travels that may help you VPN Reviews & Rating 2010 - Top10 VPN REVIEWS
Good luck
Just another note about ItsHidden. I've been using it off and on for several months now and wouldn't recommend it for torrents. When I first starting using the service it seemed fine, my speed was lowered quite a bit, but that's expected as I was using the free service. However, recently I get disconnected frequently, leaving me exposed unexpectedly. While doing a little research, to make sure the problem wasn't on my end, I ran into a good deal of other users experiencing this as well. While this may be a temporary issue it's enough to steer me away from looking into their pay service.
