havent cleared up the space because then i would be deleting some torernts on which i dont have 1:1 ratio. I made the changes u told me to make but initally nothing happened but after a while uploads got speed up and stayed that way for some time but now again it droped to like 40Kb/torrent

Edit: Like after 5 min now they are again back on high speeds

Yeah its your server being overloaded. Are u downloading anything or are all seeding? Also u need to find out how much RAM u have. Do u have ssh or can u connect to your server through ssh using putty? Its hard to know what to set your cache to if we dont know how much RAM u have.

Im only seeding, not downloading anything at all. one thing i would like to mention is that this is my 4th day and for the first 2 days everything was great, i was able to up at good speeds but now its gone bad to worse. I have asked them about the RAM.

" Do u have ssh or can u connect to your server through ssh using putty"

I dont really understand what u mean here

Edit: just got a mail from them saying

    Hello,
    2-4 GB of ram.
You don't get SSH access, sorry. You can on a dedicated server.

SSH is just a secure shell terminal and u would use something like the software Putty to connect to your server through ssh. It would make things a lot easier cause i could give u some commands to run to find out the specs on your server, but if u dont know about it, then i doubt u have it. So did they tell u about the RAM or are u waiting there response? The best thing u could do now is just try and change the disk cache to something higher like try 512 and see what results u get. Then keep messing with it till u get the best results until u find out how much RAM u have.

EDIT: So they cant even tell u how much RAM u actually have? Thats not cool and they should be able to tell u exactly how much the server has and how many users are sharing it. I guess they are saying u should get anywhere between 2-4 cause its shared, but not a set size. Just do what i said above in this post to find out your best results.

I updated my last post with the RAM
and i asked them another question regarding how many users are sharing the seedbox and they answered 5.

Edit: i also freed 10GB on the box

i had such high expectation and im heart broken

Their prices seem a bit over the top. I'd recommend feral hosting next time. There's nothing much more you could do, changing cache size could make a difference like mike said before (is the torrent saying any sort of error?).

I did the same with the edit as well on my last post.

So they cant even tell u how much RAM u actually have? Thats not cool and they should be able to tell u exactly how much the server has. Im confused by this and if 5 users are sharing 2-4gb's, then i hate to tell u this, but there's little u can do to get your speeds up. The server is too overloaded and u will have to cut down on the big torrents/packs & cap your speed .I guess or hope they are saying u should get anywhere between 2-4 cause its shared, but not a set size. The only thing u can do as of now is just do what i said above with your cache to find out your best results. Also what are your other settings for utorrent, like your bandwidth section?

No its not giving any errors... btw i want to know if i get a dedicated seedbox then on the right torrent you are bound to get like maximum upload speeds right ?

i deleted another 10GB to see if that helps, now there is 20GB free in total. Ive set to 512 but still speeds are jumping up and down.

It depends what type of server it is or u get. Just cause its a dedi doesnt necessarily mean your gonna max it out. I set up tons of seedbox's on low-end server's, like the kimi L, and performance usually isnt that good over a months time. I was still able to seed at least 2-3tb a month, but my other high-end servers i can easily seed 5-7 tb a month with not trying. U should max out your connection on the low-ends, but over a long period of time i wouldnt expect that over & over again as many factors can come in to affect.

EDIT: Ok change your settings to this > Global Max # of connections - 1000 > Max # of connected peers per torrent - 500 > # of upload slots per torrent - 250. Try those settings for now and u can also mess with them a little till u get the best results also, but like i said i dont think theres much u can do about this except cut down on big torrents and try not to have over 4-5 torrents running at the same time.
