I've got a seedbox from superseedbox.com. Its a utorrent webui with FTP access. I'm using trying to use the seedbox to help my crippled bit-hdtv ration, before i get banned there.
I've uploaded the files from my cpu to the seedbox via ftp. My question now is what to do with the torrent file? Do i create a new one? Do i just open the torrent file from bit-hdtv, and let the seedbox see that i already have the file and then start seeding it? Will it do that? Thanks for the help.
If the files are exactlly the same and the torrent already exists on the tracker then just download the .torrent file. It's force a recheck on your files and start seeding after the check. If the files are slightly different of missing a couple bit's of data it'll download what is missing and start seeding.
You only create a new torrent file if you are uploading a torrent of your own and it's not already on the tracker.

What staffrodore said : download the .torrent form the tracker , add this torrent to the seedbox just make sure u check the box : don't start downlaod automatically , there might be the slightest of difference infiles or folder name leading to a new download .
after u added the .torrent successfully rt click > force recheck . then it wil start seeding .
Another tip : cross seed = download .torrent from some tracker to ur box then download the exact same .torrent from bit-hdtv , force recheck and start seeding .
Downloading to ur pc then uploading to the box is a time waste , the faster u seed = the more the leechers = the more the upload .
Yeah remember that seedboxes aren't just good because they have amazing upload speed, they also have amazing download speed which allows you to become on of the first seeders
