    Default Seedbox Company to be Wary of

    This seems like the most appropriate place to put this, and assuming it's ok, maybe we can even get a sticky running of companies who have burned TI members to help protect the community.

    Anyway, I've used lots of different companies, and the only time I've ever gotten completely burned was by one called Titahost. I would highly recommend steering clear of them

    I havent really tried any of the seedbox host offers. What I did was just get a dedicated server and use it as a seedbox.

    Maybe you could give more information about the company Titahost? Like why they failed as a good seedbox host? What is their bandwidth quality like etc?

    Seedboxworld.com is pretty god for the price. Stay away from Br-hosting, they overload their boxes so that you can't get any decent speeds.

    Wow... 3GB seems like alot. What do u see as the issues as u step down to 2GB and 1GB on a TorrentFlux seedbox? Many higher end shared TorrentFlux environments semm to suggest that providing 250MB per account is a big selling point...

    seedhost.eu - dedicated servers

    Really great host, good prices, i got 8-9mbit, stabile uppload, 10-11mbit download on a shared seedbox with 100mb.

    The only problem ( that is the reason that i closed my acc ) is that the support is _horrible_.
    They write very, very poor english, and if you do something wrong there is no warnings, they will close your acc with no refund.

    Besides that its ok, so if your considering a host for seedbox, dont need support and never break rules (having too mutch torrents active, too mutch ftp connections etc) you should have a look at this one.

    :=)

    Agreed. 3GB is overkill. With 1GB you will be fine. 512mb should be the minimum for a seedbox. Apparently, you can run rtorrent on 256mb RAM and still do fine.

    Well, I've actually been testing them out lots of companies to do a comprehensive review. Titahost took my payment and then failed to ever setup the server. Then, of all things, 3 weeks into the ordeal they had the audacity to send me a bill for the following months service I went nuts on them in an email, lol. Anyway, I filed a complaint with paypal and eventually got my money back. Steer Clear!

    Good guys I've dealt with include JMH, softlayer, and Seedboxhosting.com. The gents over at getbyte are very friendly as well, but their speeds leave something to be desired. Overall, your best bet is to find a friend in the UK to hook you up with an OVH kimsufi. A good deal can be had for under 40 Euros a month for a dedicated box. Any other avenue and you will begin paying a middleman, which honestly may still be acceptable if you are serious about your craft, and would otherwise not have access to a good seedbox.
