Thread: lunarpages.com Too Good To be True?

Zup, has anybody ever heard or try lunarpages.com hosting services? it looks too cheap and good to be true, they have a hosting service with ""Unlimited BW and STORAGE"" for only $4.95 per month and that includes


MySQL Databases
postgre SQL Databases
FTP Accounts
SMTP
POP3
E-mail Accounts




all this features unlimited too and a lot of other regular stuff...Im planning to setup a seedbox and give it a try, its only $10 for 3 months but before doing it I would like to know if anybody had experience with this hosting provider

It sounds a little on the cheap side... But I've heard of them before, I'd say they're reputable.
But you can't set up a seedbox there. It's a a shared web host. Torrents use up way too much CPU time and Disk I/O. You'll get kicked within minutes of starting it.

If you had a regular website to run, then that might be a good choice. But for a seedbox or a tracker, you'd have to get a dedicated, since like Carrot said, they use too much CPU and Disk. Their dedicated options don't look the greatest also.

yea I mean too good to be true probably so anyways Im still waiting for Dave to accept payments for the seedbox :D

I guess for most overselling web host providers, they will ban you once you reached a certain threshold or you have used tons of cpu resources over time. But i heard Lunarpages are quite reliable even though they might be seriously overselling.

Sounds way too good to be true. Let us know what happens.
