Thread: Seedhost.net vs Superseedbox vs Kimsufi

I think its the time for me to switch to another company.

After doing a lot of research on the internet, and here at T-I, I came with these top three companies:

1. Seedhost.net
2. Superseedbox
3. Kimsufi

I am not looking for something really pricey, I would like something under $40.

Both of those 3 companies are really good, but I have to choose one.



If I would go with seedhost.net, then I would go with the 105GB shared seedbox plan for 20 euros. If I would go with SuperSeedbox, I would go with the Bronze Plan. But what I don't like about Superseedbox is that they don't have a VNC access (what's VNC?).
The Kimsufi is also an excellent choice, what I like about it is that it is dedicated. But I am not sure if I can get one since I am not in the UK, I am in Canada. If I would go with it I would choose the 19.99 euros plan. But, after I click on Sign Up, everything becomes so complex. First, it tells me to choose an operating system, and I have no idea what should I go with ( I am on Vista Home Premium 64bit).

So, I am most interested in seedhost and Kimsufi. Seedhost is simpler, while Kimsufi is more complicated (I just want something good and easy to use).

If you have tried any of those 3 seedboxes, then please give me your feedback about them, and do you will the Kimsufi staff help me set up a seedbox if I want to purchase one, or do I have to pay?

I have a 105GB box with seedhost.net. Speeds are excellent, I have seen 11Mb down and up, webui is fast, they give you root access via VNC and support is extremely fast with all my tickets answered within the hour. The only drawback is the 10 active torrent limit but you learn to choose your active torrents wisley. Plus your only sharing the box with one other user compared to 3 or 4 at other seedbox suppliers.
The only thing you might need to do is upgrade the version of Utorrent when you get it, specially if you are a member of BitMeTV as they recently banned that version that seedhost supplies. But thats no hassle and shouldn't make you look elsewhere. I'd give them a rating of 9/10. Haven't tried the other 2 you mentioned.

Thanks for replying staffrodore. So I know the only torrent client they allow is torrent 1.8.2., and for BitMeTV, they only allow 1.8.2 Build 14458, not sure if seedhost allows it.

I had to change the version of utorrent manually. Didn't bother asking seedhost to do it for me. So far they haven't said anything and would be very surprised if they do. Just use the 14458 build like I did and all should be sweet.

Anyone else tried superseedbox or Kimsufi?

Yeah I've tried superseedbox. They cram way too many people onto their servers and the speeds reflect it (10 people on a 200mbps). I think I capped at 6MB/up. And that was after numerous complaints that my speeds were capping at 2MB/up - which is simply ridiculous for what I was paying (I had the bronze plan). I have planned to try seedhost.net as my next box. Their prices look reasonable, and best of all only two people on a 100mbps server for the sB100 plan.

I am using their Copper plan and so far it has been amazing..I ave never had a single problem so far..plus their support is almost online all the time..it was setup in 2 hours for me..I have been using it since last 3 months..
I also tested seedbox.me but their speeds were fucked up..so I am happy with SUPERSEEDBOX completely..

Wow TorrentChamp those speeds are way better than anything I ever got with SuperSeedbox. I guess I was unlucky and placed in a packed server. However, I wouldn't pick a hosting company based on luck of the draw.

I agree with you mt3ch...if it is all about luck then I would prefer to spend a little bit more to get good speeds guaranteed.
