I haven't found any real difference in performance. Initially, I really loved utorrent and hated the terminal interface of rtorrent, but after using rtorrent for a while I am totally used to it. I don't think u should worry too much about the client. You will eventually get used to any of them.

Of course, I don't lke the bloatware Azureus....

    Cheers!

For me torrentflux uses a lot more resources and isn't quite good if you have low Gb on your server, so you cant really have as many torrents seeding/leeching as rtorrent can, so my choice would be rtorrent.

uTorrent has the best webUI (imo) and is using like average ressources, rtorrent isn't using much ressources so it's kinda the "most effective" client out there, however you gotta install a webinterface if you want/need one.

Torrentflux is only a webinterface for BitTornade and not a standalone client, afaik, using pretty much ressources but pretty good as well.

Actually all 3 of them are pretty good, my first choice is utorrent and then rtorrent however.

    Hope I could help a bit :)

uTorrent is the best, noticeably faster seed speeds and very light on resources. With other clients I've come across several bugs, with uTorrent, none.

uTorrent is the best from usability point of view. It is also light and fast.
But unfortunately the GUI does not provide ways to "create torrent"... Only to download and to seed.

IMO, Torrentflux for webGUI, uTorrent for local control. Never tried rtorrent tho.

Yep, in the future I hope they allow torrent creation.

One option is to get VNC access to your seedbox. Not only will this allow you access to the full uTorrent and all its features, you will be able to unrar files as well (handy on bmtv for cross seeding).

Agreed. The most annoying thing and the biggest point that is missing imo is the RSS Update frequency... It can't be changed to any value under 15 minutes, which is bullsh*t... because on good trackers you can't seed back properly if the file got added after 14,9 minutes (worst case).

rtorrent, for example, works perfectly with different scripts, so you can set it up to auto-download the torrent/files a few second after the torrent got announced in the irc channel (if the tracker has an IRC channel).
