Default advice question about seedbox issue

I switched almost a month ago to a new seedbox provider well known on TI.

Well I'm now in a bind with them and don't know how much I should say or what I should do.

I still have about a week left on my first month, but I just paid for 6 months of service after liking the first month, and they ithen sent me another 6 month invoice and terminated my account.

They have not responded to my tickets and are sold out at the moment of boxes (which might mean they gave away my box when I still have time left this month and already paid for another 6 months).

I'm pretty steamed that they most likely deleted everything I loaded on that box and closed down all the torrents I had running (it even cut me off mid-download with my ftp).

Any suggestions? Should I call out this provider on TI or give them more time?

Did you pay with Paypal? They may be able to assist you with this issue, if you did.

I think most members would appreciate if the name of the provider is given. We definitely wouldn't want to be put in the same situation you're, unfortunately, in. However, before tarnishing anyone's name, you should be absolutely certain that this provider truly screwed you over. We definitely wouldn't want any false accusations going around.

Yes I paid with Paypal. I think I have an idea what happened. The new invoice they sent today is dated for January 2012 instead of 2013 so the system assumed I was 7 months late and terminated my account immediately. I haven't heard from them in hours when usually I hear back fairly quickly so this seems like they probably did lose all my stuff and sell my spot and are figuring out what to do. If I don't hear back by tomorrow I'll post their name and file a Paypal dispute.

I would give them a little time. They're probably figuring everything out. Generally, seedbox providers are quick to help out and provide excellent customer service. It is most likely a genuine mistake. The last thing a seedbox provider would want is a bad name at T-I considering how many members purchase seedboxes. If you do provide their name, be sure to follow up with if they ever clear up your issue.

I would definetly wait for contact from the provider, usually 72 hours is sufficient time. Then make the situation public so others can judge for themselves. Best of luck m8.

If you feel like you have given them sufficient time to respond (24hrs on a weekday is a good starting point), then after that you should definitely post the company name. If they are so well-known here then they will have even more incentive to fix the problem faster and post here to reassure everyone that the service it still great. Don't forget that many seedbox providers are in Europe and at the time you started this thread it was early in the morning there - the staff has to sleep sometime.

I recently had a small issue with UltraSeedbox where they promised something and didn't deliver on time, so I waited a day to submit a ticket. Almost immediately someone responded very apologetically for forgetting and the issue was corrected soon after. I think the problem some with some seedbox providers is that they may be understaffed...They will get to you as soon as they can and fix any mistakes they made.

Exleacher are you sure your data has been erased? An easy way to check is to go to your profile on a tracker that you know for sure your seedbox had their torrents seeding and see if you can still see them in the currently seeding (or similar) list.

Okay here's an update about what happened.

The provider in question is seedboxes.cc

I was especially wary about naming them because they advertise on this site.

The next day after I posted here I did get a response. Their billing system messed up and deleted my account (along with all of my data and torrents).

They apologized and offered a full refund or a free month of service.

I decided this was satisfactory and I can forgive a one time mistake, so I accepted the free month and I'm keeping my services with them.

If it weren't for this one issue my services have been exemplary with them so far, so I'm happy to have a good resolution.

Thanks everyone for your advice! I'm sorry it took so long to respond, but I usually run through a VPN when I'm doing things online (like FTP) and it's a no-no for this site so I need to log off specifically every time I want to come on here.

I wouldn't sign up for a 6-month subscription and pay in full on the spot if it was my first time with a seedbox provider. Its good to see that they helped you out. Good luck!

I first tried them for a month, I was nearing the end of that month when I decided to get the 6 month package for extra bandwidth.
