Thread: Demonoid Tracker Stats not updating when using seedbox

Hi all, using a seedbox from seedm8 to download from Demonoid.

The problem is because I have downloaded locally the uploaded the torrent file to rutorrent on my seedbox my stats are not updating.

I have never had this problem before when downloading from bitsoup but I assume that this is because the bitsoup tracker appears to have a passcode that is linked to my account.

Is there a way to get my stats to update? Any help is much appreciated.

Demonoid's tracking system is based on IP address, which is flawed and often doesn't work. The only way to get Demonoid to track your seedbox stats is to go and log in to the demonoid website through the seedbox. There are several tutorials in this forum on how to do that. This way the tracker associates your seedbox ip with your account.

Most people will recommend that you forget about trying to get demonoid to track your stats. It's a pain to get to work, and since demonoid is ratio-free, it doesn't matter what your ratio is. If you need to build up a ratio to get invites to other trackers, i'd recommend using a different tracker that uses the passcode system, like bitsoup does.

I use to seed to demonoid, but it stopped at 160 GB. That was before I started to use a seedbox.

I agree. IPT is a very good general tracker where I've found just about everything I've looked for. It's also easy to keep a good ratio, as there are many large free leach torrents.
