Default How to download Direct Download Links to seedbox?

    Hi,

Is there any other option other than RapidLeech to download DDL files to the seedbox?

    I'd appreciate any comments.

    Thanks in advance.

Well, sure.. but this isn't a common request. Or at least I don't hear it very often - so you may need to do a bit of work to effect this.

Most of the methods that I can think of require shell or root access. If you have a basic seed box you will usually find that it is simply configured for rutorrent, which is intended to work with torrents. In that case you need to either find a third party rehoster site that will grab the DDL link and host it as a torrent.. effectively converting the DDL link to a torrent one. Or discuss the subject with your seed box vendor and see if they can accommodate you.

If you have shell or root access as you usually will on a dedicated server, then you have more options. These range from using wget to fetch a DDL link e.g.
    $ wget --user=<username> --password=<password> http://link_to_DDL_download.rar

To installing a download manager program such as jdownloader. Remember that a server is also a computer and you can install a variety of software on it. You probably have some variety of *nix, rather than windows on it though - so you may need to look for linux, rather than windows applications.

Thanks a lot, copper. I did check with the provider and he said that I could install RapidLeech on the box. Else, he could do it for me tomorrow.

I was checking if there are other options that I'm not aware of. If I could JDownloader installed, that would be great as well.

Hopefully, I get RapidLeech up and running. If not, I'll keep looking around.

    Thanks again. Repped +4.

There's also the FXP (File Exchange Protocol), which is used between two FTP servers if you have no access to SSH. search around the forums, one of the Administrator has posted a guide on this.

    simple: aria2c, curl, wget...

fancy: pyload (I've been pretty happy with this), slimrat, plowshare, fatrat, rsget...

Although jdownloader may have a headless switch sometime in the future, it won't be any time soon. If you have root access to your seedbox, you can run it sort of headless.

If they ever release cryptload 2.x, it might be interesting.

    Thanks and repped +4, emandi..

I'd be excited if I can get Pyload up and running on my box.

pyLoad has a web GUI. Basically it is sabnzbd for file hosters. You can operate it from CLI only if you must, but I don't think you can use hosters with captcha in that case...

Sure thing, let me know what you think after you've tried it. I'm always on the lookout for more/better/faster/stronger/sweeter/prettier/sexier (well - you get the idea...) solutions.

I have a handful of sites working with plowshare, downloading and uploading.

I'm wondering if anyone might be able to help me with my current problem. 115 is listed as a supported file sharing site for plowshare.

Whenever I enter any commands, I'll get, link not found/nonexistent link. All of that nonsense.

I have experience entering these commands as they work on multiple filehosts for me. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience downloading files from the filehosting site 115 to your seedbox?

I just can't seem to get it working.

Maybe the commands for 115 don't work anymore?

I figured I would add to this thread instead of making a new topic.
